Digital camera reviews of HP Wireless Elite Keyboard and Mouse

Digital camera Review: Great wireless solution
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this wireless keyboard/mouse combo for a home theater PC as I didn't want to mess with a remote. It works fantastically! The keyboard is thin, and feels much more like a laptop keyboard than that made for a desktop. The keys are evenly spaced, and typing feels much more like a laptop keyboard also, which is great and enables me to type faster. My keyboard does not have an indicator light like some reviewed, so no annoying bright light.

The mouse works well. It has an on/off switch to save battery, and works well on most surfaces (including my couch cushions). It clicks easily, and the scrool wheel feels solid. The shiny black finish is aesthetically pleasing, also.

The range is excellent, and I rarely have signal problems. On the rare occasion, the mouse and keyboard both have re-connect buttons, and with a simple push button it's ready to go again.

Driver software is included, and provides basic functionality. No real frills. It does display both keyboard and mouse battery life on your taskbar, which is handy. The media center keys are an added plus for a HTPC, and they have been useful.

All in all a great product. I might ding it a half star just for the occasional connectivity issues, but those are very easily resolved. In addition, I've done a bit of gaming with this combo, and have had no problems with keyboard cut-out while holding down a button for 30-60 seconds.

Digital camera Review: Great with drawbacks
Summary: 4 Stars

Okay, the keyboard is the best, neatest, and coolest of just about any keyboard I have ever used. Easy to type on, responsive and I like the touch very much.
Okay, what everyone else says about the mouse is mostly ture, yes, pressing the button takes some "push" and double clicking can be problematic, and that blue light on the dongle is bright. So, you push a little harder (if you really, really use the mouse a lot, I suppose, your hand/finger could feel it after awhile,) and put some black electrical tape over the light on the dongle. Problem solved. You can turn off the mouse to conserve battery life.

Now, why don't they have an on/off swithch for the keyboard, that's the only drawback to it. I take the batteries out if I'm not using it for awhile. I went thru one set of batteries pretty quickly. I suppose a key could have gotten pushed, or one of the cats slept on it and kept it "on" and sending signals, I don't know. But an on/off would be nice. But, I live with it all because I do love the keyboard.

Digital camera Review: Greatest keyboard I've ever used.
Summary: 5 Stars

This keyboard is simply a dream. It's light, it's thin, it's silent, it's freakin' sexy, and I've never seen another keyboard that's quite like it.

As is obvious in the product pictures, all the keys are laptop-style. They're totally flat, have *just* the right amount of feedback, and, as I mentioned, they make next to no noise. The entire keyboard, at it's thickest point, is not much bigger than a skinny person's pinky finger. The keyboard weighs more than you expect it to when you look at it, but it doesn't feel heavy. It feels solid.

The overall appearance of the keyboard is gorgeous. The flat black keys, coupled with the thinness of the keyboard, the laptop-style keys, and the silver trim makes this thing a treat to look at.

Digital camera Review: Happy as a hog in a mud puddle
Summary: 5 Stars

All I need now is a small refrigerator and I will never have to move from my recliner. I sometimes use my 40" TV for my monitor and sometimes my computer monitor. The two products, wireless mouse and keyboard are great.

Digital camera Review: I like the keyboard but not the mouse
Summary: 3 Stars

I think its good value for the price. I love the thin keyboard design. However the mouse is just too loud and it attracts fingerprints easily. The keyboard keys are are quiet but its not like you can hear nothing. The reciver shows a blue glow which tends to be distracting. HP really needs to do a better job with the mouse.
