Digital camera Review: A first time pda user's impression
Summary: 3 Stars

Having never used a pda this was an entirely new experience for me and I have no context to which to compare it to.
So take that for what its worth.
Battery life is the biggest negative.
Ease of use is the biggest positive.
A crystal clear display majes this a pleasure on the eyes.
The sylus is a little awkward to get to but get over it.
I have not, todate, successfully connected to a wifi zone and navigated the internet. Always get some kind of error. Nothing is automatic and you need to read manuals and know things I have no interest in learning about. At home, it somehow completely ruined my pc's access and I had to restore the system to a checkpoint to get it to work again.
So the automation of wifi and internet useage is still a mystery to me.
Loading active sync onto the pc is more overhead we don't need running on our overly taxed machines.
Why can't there be thin client application to interact with these little devices.
I added a little memory card you can pick up for under 10 dollars if you shop around which added 2 gig to storage. You will need this if you want to use the machine. The time has come to have included this cheap little plastic chip considering we spend close to 300 bucks for this little toy.

The applications seem to work pretty easily.
The pdf viewer opens pdf files but they are pretty difficult to read since the pdf documents are only going to display a small area of their text while using it.
It's limited - what else can I say.
I have very little interest nor do I understand why others want to shlep hardware around on their bodies making running awkward.
The leather case it comes with does not clip onto your belt and I had to cough up another 25 bucks to buy a leather case.

Digital camera Review: A great product

a great product wireless and blue tooth excellent would recommend it to other potential customers

Digital camera Review: A tough adjustment for a palm user
Summary: 3 Stars

This iPAQ is probably great for most people. As a Palm user for the past several years, I couldn't get over not being able to search for text strings in the files on the handheld. The ability to search the internet was front and center, but I needed to find info within my MS Office files. I ultimately had to return it because it wouldn't sync properly with my 64 bit laptop. When I called customer service, the "tech" had no idea how to solve the problem and seemed unable to even understand it. I could hear him turning pages in a manual. Not very comforting. I will be going back to Palm. They were able to advise me quickly on how to take into acct my 64 bit machine.

Digital camera Review: As Promised
Summary: 5 Stars

What a wonderful little PDA, it does just what it says. Can hop on line to check your e-mails via free wireless connections. IT's a wonderful little thing to have.

Digital camera Review: Audio could be improved HP IPaQ
Summary: 3 Stars

It is just not designed to be loud enough but is very intuitive on its functionality. In a quiet room, I had to set the volume control to the maximum level to hear audio books. I tried all of the internal adjustments, several different audio book files, and types of headphones. Nothing would solve the problem. As I use the unit for an MP3 player when traveling on airplanes, the low audio output was not sufficient to be heard over the noise of the engines (and seat mates). I returned the unit to Amazon.com without difficulty - full marks to Amazon. I will nurse my rx1955 along until HP (or whoever) manages to market a unit that will meet my needs. I have been using the prior one for almost 22 months and am quite satisfied with it. Unfortunately, one of the multi-purpose buttons no longer works reliably. I purchased the iPAQ 111 Pocket PC as a replacement - newer operating system, more memory, faster processor, WiFi, and buttons that work. The basis features of the units (with the exception of Bluetooth) are comparable. Unfortunately, the audio output volume was very disappointing.
