Digital camera Review: Saved my old iPod mini, not too hard to install

My old iPod mini had gotten to the point where it would only work for an hour or two with a full charge, so I decided to try replacing the battery with this kit, since there's nothing to lose. Yes, I could buy a new iPod, but I feel the old iPod mini is pretty great, and they don't make them like they used to.
Anyway, this kit is pretty great easy to use and includes full instructions on replacing the battery (and if, for some reason, you don't like the instructions they include, there is an instructional video online: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-11293_7-6378822-1.html?tag=bnav). Installation was pretty easy...the casing did get a little scratched up in the process, but nothing serious. And the battery works really, really well, I'd say at least as well as the original one installed. And plus, it's really cheap, about $14 including shipping...I'd definitely recommend this IF you're sure your iPods problem is with its battery.

The fit of the battery is poor because it is wider than the original battery. I had to force mine into place and had to risk breaking my iPod circuit board. The performance of the battery is very good and still holds a good charge after over a year of use. I replaced two iPod batteries using these kits. One was for an iPod mini and the other was for an iPod 30GB Video. The mini was a little bit easier to replace but both took me less than 15 minutes to replace each. All I did was search for videos online on how to do it and followed the directions. Good battery and simple instructions. The instructions were definitely written by someone with a language other than English as their primary language, but it gets the point across.
Only drawback was that the flat head screw driver should have been thinner at the tip to wedge it in there with more ease and less damage to the metal and plastic.
