With the digital age, we had to get a new portable TV for power outages. This one fills the bill. We charged the battery, set up the channels, plugged in the rabbit ears antenna we had gotten earlier, and we were in business. The picture is bright and the channels come in well with some movement of the "ears." My only complaint was with the manual-it is the smallest print I've seen, excepting of course the fine print on contracts, and I was glad to have a magnifying glass handy. Otherwise, everything was fine. It came with chargers for the home and car and a small antenna which wouldn't hold still for me. I must add, however that we live within the city where the TV stations are located, and we are nearly in sight of the sending towers. I needed a small desktop TV that would be useful for tracking news and financial data while working in my home office. It had to be inexpensive because we have three other TVs in bedrooms and family room. This Haier 7-inch portable fills the bill admirably. Great picture; comparable to a full size. Great cost. I use cable input at the desk and antennae when moving around. Both inputs work fine, even though we are in a marginal reception area on antennae. Sound is very clear and less tinny that other similar units I have seen, but fidelity is shrill, which is not surprising for the tiny speakers. A recommendation for those who would like better sound; plug in the sterio headphones from your computer or TV/radio. The Haier outputs beautiful sound; excellent highs and lows. I am "A happy customer"
