Digital camera Review: A total disaster

The portable TV I purchased,Haier Model HLT71,has been a total disaster. The first one I received had a problem with the remote control and the battery would not recharge. When I first talked to their customer service dept. they said they would send me a replacement but I would have to pay a $14.95 shipping charge. I flatly refused and finally got someone to waive the shipping charge. I got the replacement which worked for several days and then failed. Again the batteries would not charge up.I called again and they are sending me another replacement. I don't have much hope that it will work or last for very long. I also fear I will have a considerable problem when I ask for my money back; $119.95.Digital camera Review: After Digital Transition

After digital Transition, my Haier TV would not pick any signals. I have purchase a converter box and phillips antenna, still no signals. If anyone have any suggestions, please help. I bought this little tv to put on my desk while I work. I'd give it a 3.5 stars.
The image quality is ok. On images that are dark in the background it looks fine. However on lighter backgrounds its too bright. It is definitely grainy and not sharp. I can see horizontal lines on this tv and its kind of annoying. Its like watching tv on a low resolution computer monitor.
The stand that is used to prop the unit up doesn't allow custom tilt adjustment. This is less than ideal because when you have light shining at different angles onto the screen, you have to adjust the height by putting a small thin book to prop it up to set it more vertical. The weight of the unit is lite making it great for mobility. The little remote controller is designed well and simple to use.
The sound quality however out of the speakers is not very good. It sounds like you are listening to AM radio. It sounds better using headphones.
Because the unit has RCA audio/video jacks, you can hook up anything that transmits through those set of connectors - like a wireless transmitter, DVD player, video game console, etc. All the units I have seen in this form factor don't offer RCA jacks and this was the main reason why I bought it. Because my office is away from the cable set top box, I tried using a wireless video transmitter on the Haier's RCA jacks and it works just fine.
For the price, you really can't beat it, but don't go expecting much. I didn't try using the antennae and see if it worked on local tv stations.

Got all 12 local HD channels without installing antenna. We use it as the kitchen TV replacing a smaller screen analog set, conneted to FIOS, with the option of it being an emergency news TV if the power went out, or as a spare TV on the patio or at the beach if we have a party during a major sports event.Digital camera Review: As described.
