Digital camera Review: "I'm a first-time Kodak EasyShare digital camera user!"

First, let me mention that I've always used a Canon Powershot until I recently purchased my Kodak EasyShare. I switched because of a friends recommendation and the fact that it's small, compact and you don't have to keep buying rechargable batteries for it (although I still haven't figured out how the "permanent" one in it can last? Does it?), and the fact that it has a feature I like to use once-in-awhile that the Canon doesn't; a panorama mode. I went online and through Amazon found one that regularly sells for $120. for $70, so I ordered it. When it arrived, and I unpacked it, I was surprised to discover that, in fact, it wasn't "new" as advertised! It was refurbished and there was a large, deep scratch on the view window. I was all set to send it back, but decided to try it out first. It turned out the scratch didn't affect anything and the 12.2 megapixels produced gorgeous pictures. It's very easy to use, which is important to me. My only complaint is that the buttons on the top of it are so sensitive that sometimes just picking it up will change the function (it took me awhile to figure this out). Also, the advantage of its small size and light weight can be a disadvantage if you're clumsy. I was pulling mine out of my pocket and it just flew out of my hands! It fell on a hard surface, knocking the flip-cap open, and the memory card flew out across the room! The great thing is, it wasn't damaged and still takes great pics! So bottom line, I like it and recommend it . . . so far! Hope this helps you." Jon
