I was a bit put off by the clear plastic, but these rock! Built very sturdy, and can really pump out the clear tones, as well as tons of bass. After a few days of use the sound quality is just awesome. Tons of power- So be careful when you crank em' up. Easy hook up. I PLUGGED THIS IN TO MY LAPTOP NEVER REGRETTING IT SINCE.
THE PRICE HERE IS FAIR COMPARED TO RETAILERS. THE SOUND WONDERFULLY PLEASING AND THE STYLISH SPEAKERS FIT NICELY BEHIND THE LAPTOP SCREEN - WHEN NECESSARY.
CALL ME A FASHIONISTA BUT I SIMPLY REFUSE TO USE THOSE CUBY-THING-A-MA-JIGS SOME PASS OFF AS SPEAKERS!

Holy cow, I cannot believe how awesome these speakers are!!! My home desktop is using a Logitech THX 5.1 system, and I was looking at getting a 2.1 system for my personal laptop. I did massive amounts of research on various Logitech, Klipsh, and Creative systems. I came across these, and couldn't find any negative feedback, only glowing reviews.
The only negative thing I read about this system is the lack of a power and mute button. However, this is NOT true and a common mistake made by noobs. In fact, the power button is on the sub. Also, the instructions clearly state that to mute the system you have to press both the volume up/down touch-sensitive buttons (another super cool feature).
Crisp, clean, and loud, with wonderful mids and highs. The bass is also phenomenal. I would almost give the nod to these over my Logitech 5.1 system. Too bad there isn't a 5.1 option though. Have no doubt in your mind about this system; this is definitely audiophile quality. I almost wish I had another computer to purchase another set!

The sound quality of these speakers is terrific. Imaging is good, the bass that exists is very good, and they play at normal volumes without distortion. Added to an iPod (or an iPod Shuffle), this was a excellent "stereo system" for my kids.
