In addition to great sounding speakers, the packaging itself was very easy to fold flat and recycle.
The packaging was all cardboard save for a few plastic bags and ties for cables

I purchased this speaker system Summer of 2004 from J&R to use in my college dorm room. I have to say, this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It is one of the best sounding systems in the dorm, and the little subwoofer can really shake a room! I continually get positive comments from friends about both its looks and its sound. I just got these for Christmas yesterday and im already loving them! I bought them as speakers to hook my ipod/walkman up to and they do great. They can fit in alot of places well and they pack alot of sound, especially that crisp clear bass. ONE WARNING. If your soundsticks dont work the first time you plug them in DO NOT PANIC. Some might take a little while to charge up becuase they are designed to always stay on. Give them an hour or two THEN see if they are producing sound before declaring them broken and returning them. Other than that these things are flawless! Grab them now while theyre super cheap on amazon becuase these are about the best 2:1 speakers you can buy!Digital camera Review: Amazing

I was looking to replace my boring old speakers and saw these for an excellent price on Amazon. I was a little hesitant, but I am SO glad I purchased these.
Not only is the sound quality rich and amazing, but the design is eye pleasing and looks great next to my iBook.
I didn't even think about hooking the speakers up to my iPod, but I did and viola, I have a great sounding stand-alone speaker system for the iPod as well.
These are DEFINITELY worth the price, I highly reccomend to anyone, Mac or PC users alike!
