Digital camera Review: Amazing Soundsticks!

I recently bought the Soundsticks 2 from Amazon. I have been a music teacher for more years than I care to think about and good quality sound is really important to me.
I have a great Hi Fi system at home in the living room and our family computer is in the kitchen. I've connected the Harman Kardons to the computer and to say the least, I'm over the moon with their performance. I listen to all types of music and these speakers produce the goods. This evening I have listened to Joe Cocker, Herbie Hancock, Gustav Holst, Samuel Barber, Vivaldi and Stevie Wonder! In every instance the speakers produced clean, well balanced music. Plenty of volume and amazing sound quality and stereo image. I spent a little time in iTunes when I first got the speakers and adjusted the equalizer to my tastes. The bass is full without being boomy, the highs nice and clean and the voices come through beautifully. I find myself sitting in front of the computer listening to music more than I do in the living room with my expensive sound system! For the price these speakers are hard if not impossible to beat. They may not be what you want if you want earth shattering rumble to accompany video games but if you want to hear great music on a set of remarkable speakers, you won't be disappointed with the Harman Kardon Soundsticks. By the way, I have never written a review of any product before this one. When listening to them tonight I just had to get on line and spread the word.

Best speakers I could have found. The best part is that I can connect them to pretty much anything. They are easy to use and have a sleek design. I would pay $100 for the instrument separation alone. After a few days of listening, these speakers will make you a sucker for live recordings. You can close your eyes and imagine the singer in front of you, the guitarists on the side, the drums at the back. But woah, there's the organ at the corner! Don't let reviews of the Z-2300 convince you. A sound system is only complete when it has a balanced output throughout the spectrum. Bass is not everything. And even if it comes to that, the Soundsticks II have bass let me tell you. The bass separation is excellent given the sub is passive like most other 2.1 systems. Not only do these speakers look phenomenal, but their performance is amazing too. I have these for my dorm room and they always attract a crowd of other students. The bass is truly amazing and clean. You can plug these speakers into anything with a standard headphone port (e.g. your laptop, your iPod, etc). Also the blue glow from the amazing looking subwoofer is a really nice aesthetic touch. I play every type of music on my computer (dance, electronica, pop, classical, opera, hip-hop, rock, etc.) and I cant find a genre that doesn't sound exceptionally good on these speakers. I highly recommend these great speakers (which you do NOT need a soundcard for).
P.S. One day I was introduced to this kid I had never met from my hall by a friend. I told him where I lived and he responded, "Oh! You are the dude who plays the really loud music all the time!" I just smiled and replied, "Yup. Thats me!"

I own several different types of computer speaker systems as I carry my laptop around to different rooms and just plug it in where i need to listen to music. i also own a hotel and use pc speakers until I can afford an entirely new sound system for the lobby and pool area. I have to say that I absolutely love the design of these speakers, but the sound, compared to the rest, just isn't there, and you're buying speakers for sound, right?
I recommend the Altec Lansing MX5020 2-piece PC Speaker System - it's simple looking and sounds great - read my reviews about them there. I also have the logitech 560s - they also sound better but who needs all those speakers and controls? If you want true portable speakers, the altec lansing xt-1 speakers are probably one of the coolest products I've ever purchased, they're just amazing and perfect for home or travel!
