Digital camera Review: Easy TV for your PC

Out of several TV adapters for my PC running Vista Home O/S that I have tried this is the easiest adapter to install (USB) and use. The hardware works well with my satellite feed and pretty good as a stand-alone tuner from nearby stations. The antenna is a bit small and won't pull all local stations clearly in HD and would benefit from a roof-top connection. The software/hardware allows you to record directly in *mpg format and the ability to edit and burn it to DVD using a video editing program like Ulead Video Studio. The software is not as flexible to use as others I have tried but all-in-all it is a great TV accessory for your computer at a reasonable price.Digital camera Review: Easy installation and good results: watching TV on my big monitor is terrific fun

Installation was very easy. Documentation was clear and easy to follow.
We have very good results, watching TV on the Dell laptop and on the 24 inch wide-screen, flat-panel Dell Monitor with my desktop. It is very convenient to be able to watch TV in every room (say, when our in-laws are here ... everyone gets their own channel!) and the analog cable pipes well into it, too. I've only tried watching TV on my laptop a couple of times: it was fun while traveling. But it is a great way to "grow" the # of TVs we have in the house by 3 more.

The installation was easy, the TV looks great on my Laptop. There is a slight conflict with Windows Vista, I get an annoying message everytime Vista starts up saying that a program has been blocked, and the program is the software for the TV-Tuner.Digital camera Review: Easy to set up and it works

Just installed the 1139 WinTV on my Dell Laptop. The process took only a few minutes. The longest part was the search for channels that the software does before you can start watching TV. I encountered no problems and was able to receive about 6 HD digital signals in amazing clarity and about 8 analog signals on my PC. Of course the receiver is only as good as the reception in the area you are using it in. The antenna that comes with the system is about 4 inches but you can also connect to your cable input if you so desire.
I wanted, I bought it, I have it. Now I need to figure out where and when I might use it. An airport waiting area perhaps?

I am very pleased with the Hauppauge Wintv HVR 950. I was looking for something simple to record shows from my new HDTV and I could not find a product that would do what I wanted. Radio shack was the last place I checked, and then the sales person told me to check out hauppauge.com. This very small tv tuner stick is awesome. Now I have the coax cable from my antenna split so I can watch shows on my HDTV, or record them on my computer. Very cool product.
