Digital camera reviews of Hauppauge 1213 WinTV-HVR-2250 PCI-E x1 Dual TV Tuner

Digital camera Review: Half-height and Dual Tuner
Summary: 5 Stars

I had 2 requirments for a TV Tuner Card. It had to be half-height and it had to be a dual tuner (so I can record one show and watch another). This card meets the bill. So far it has worked great. Sometimes when I tune to a channel in Windows Media Center the screen is blue and I have to change channels and then go back for it to appear. I don't know if this is because of the tuner or because of something else. Other than that I really haven't had any problems. Possibly a driver update will fix that problem.

Digital camera Review: Happy with it - the picture could be better
Summary: 4 Stars

Installation was not hard, although the remote control drivers did not install properly on the first try.

Overall I'm happy with it, except the video onscreen shows up a bit washed out compared to what I get directly on the TV or via the DVR. I didn't see controls to tune the brightness on Media Center.

Digital camera Review: Hauppage 2250
Summary: 5 Stars

Put in a Athlon 64 computer with a ATI X300 video card. Installed driver. was able to see TV programs. Recorded TV programs fine. Can't play back programs because ATI card has no WIN 7 drivers.

Digital camera Review: Hauppauge 1213 WinTV-2250 Dual TV Tuner Board & Mrdia Center Remote
Summary: 3 Stars

The Hauppauge 2250 card works great! The Media Center remote control died about 3 days after it was installed.

Digital camera Review: Hauppauge HVR-2250 Dual Tuner
Summary: 4 Stars

The tuner installs easily and does everything advertised. I set it up in SageTV and now can simultaneously tune and/or record any 2 stations I want, analog or QAM. The tuners work fine, although I don't think the picture quality of the analog side is as good as that of my Hauppauge HVR-1600 in an twin machine. All in all, if you want a dual tuner for your HTPC and need analog capabilities, I have not seen another tuner that will accommodate like the HVR-2250.
And, of course, buying from Amazon is quick and easy.
