I think this is great little USB port. I bought 2 units.
I use one on my laptop and it is connected to a Canon MP 180 printer, a Microsoft USB wireless mouse transceiver, an ipod shuffler, and a USB memory stick. All devices so far have worked just fine.
I also use it on a desktop with a few things attached, and no problems there either.
The unit runs very cool in temperature. It has a red led on it that indicates that it is receiving power from its power source. This can be a handy troubleshooting feature.
This USB port also has a DC power jack to power it if the connected devices draw too much power from the computer it is attached to, however it does not come with a DC power supply, but so far I have not required one.
It's a great buy ... you will not go wrong by getting one ... or two!

There isn't much to say about this one, but if you're looking for an inexpensive 4-port USB2 hub go ahead and buy this one.
I've been using it pretty solidly for 6-8 months now and haven't had any issues with it. It's cheap, it works well, and I have had no problems with powered or un-powered devices.

Tiny, inexpensive but very useful. I needed the longer cable to reach around to the back of my desktop box because the two front USB ports are damaged.
