Digital camera Review: So much easier for me than the LumiQuest

I had heard so many good things about the LumiQuest Gel Holder for Most Popular Flash Models that I didn't give this HonlPhoto gel kit much attention when I was first in the market for a set of gels. The Strobist website talks about the Rosco The Strobist Collection, Strobist 55 Piece Cinegel Filter Kit, 1.5" x 3.25" to fit most Shoe Mount Strobes. so much that I figured I absolutely had to go that route.
It didn't take long, though, for me to get frustrated with the LumiQuest and Rosco gels. The holder is small, so it takes a few seconds to slide the little gels in. Plus, the only way to keep track of your gels is to keep them together with the little papers separating them. Those little papers get lost pretty easily, causing even greater frustration. What's more, the LumiQuest doesn't attach very securely to my HonlPhoto Speed Strap for Shoe Mount Flashes.
I finally decided enough was enough, and bought this HonlPhoto set of gels. No, you don't get nearly as many gels as you can with the Rosco sets, but how many of those am I likely to ever use? I overwhelmingly want a set for color correction, so I'm going to use the CTO and PlusGreen more than anything. Those are easily found in this HonlPhoto set, they fit securely on my Speed Strap, and are effortless to put on and take off. For a new (but somewhat serious) photographer like me, this is just what I need. I'll keep the LumiQuest and Rosco filters in case I decide to get more artistic down the road, or wish to take advantage of the full array of Rosco colors. But for now, I'm much happier with the HonlPhoto gel set.
I was tempted to knock a star off because it doesn't come with anything to hold the gels, but the original packaging seems to be working just fine for now.
