I bought these recently because I wanted a set of speakers for my iPod. The reviews were good, and the price was right. For $6 I could afford to gamble. Turns out it was a good choice. Clearly, they aren't as amazing quality as some of the $100 plus ones you could buy. But the sounds is great for such a bargain item, and even if it breaks in six months, you could still buy ten replacements cheaper than buying one of the high end sets. Some cheapo speakers you sounds like the music is inside a tin can, and there's no volume. I turned these all the way up and my cat fled the room, so they get plenty loud.
So, if you're a music junkie and you insist on being able to shake the house with your music and feel like you're right at the concert...alright, move on and blow your money on the expensive speakers. If you're a normal person and you just want a compact set of speakers that can be heard over a roomful of people and comes at a great price..BUY THESE!

I just received this one. Didn't trying using it on batteries, so don't know the batter life. Other than that it's just amazing that this thing, which cost me tiny $2.84!!! is so cool. Importantly, it works perfectly with my Nokia 5800 Express Music. Definitely, one should not expect full surround or professional sound - look at it and its price tag and set your expectation. Good sound quality, portable. You can take it to the beach, wherever you go and listen to your ipod without headphones. For it's size, comparable to a small Poland Spring (half liter) water bottle, the sound quality is great. When you fold this device, it is the size of 3 iPhones together on stacked top of each other. Pretty small.
Uses 4 AAA batteries. The only negative thing about this product is that it does not hold the ipod, so if you have an iPod Nano like I do, it sits loose in the iPod pocket. This product is better for big ipods. Note that you plug the Ipod to this device via a cable just like you plug your headphones, it does not connect to the speakers like most ipod speakers do via that port (the same one where the iPod USB cable connects). In addition, it cannot be used without batteries unles you purchase a 6V ac adapter and it does not charge your iPod while using batteries. But still a great product for 7 dollars. No more headphones at the beach! I would rate this 9/10

This item isn't what is pictured on the site. Additionally, it says it comes with a computer cable (which is why I bought this one for a few more bucks)...IT DOESN'T HAVE THE CABLE. Their return policy makes YOU pay for shipping even if the item isn't what they have on the website. They have not returned my email request for a solution to their error. If you like to gamble, their items are cheap and sometimes they work. But don't expect much from the company.
You would do better at Big Lots or the Dollar Tree...you get the same quality but know exactly what you are buying.
