Digital camera reviews of INTUOS3 Classic Pen #ZP300E, GrayDigital camera Review: Nice Pen for the Wacom Tablets Summary: 4 Stars
This is a very nice pen for the Wacom Tablets. I have a Grip Pen that came with my Intuos 3 but I thought it would be nice to try another pen and maybe keep a different nib in it so I could swap out using them. I have found that this pen is a little small for me - I have larger hands - so this is not as comfortable as the larger Grip pen. But it functions just fine and I still use it quite a bit.
Digital camera Review: Nicer than the included pen Summary: 5 Stars
The pen that comes with Intuos3 tablets is nice, but it's big, especially for someone with small hands. This pen is maybe about the size of a regular rollerball pen, and is nicer to use. It has all the other features (eraser, rocker switch) of the included pen too. It comes with a pen stand that's a little more aesthetically attractive, too.
Digital camera Review: No need for a Cintiq Summary: 5 Stars
I use the Wacom Intous 3 (6x8). I'm left-handed and I've been suffering with the grip pen for years. It never felt natural to me. I could never produce the same sketching or drawing results on the tablet as I could on paper or even come close to it. I would still sketch on paper then scan for import into to Photoshop and then attempt to trace my own drawing digitally and still found it less than satisfactory. I get could get work done like photo retouch and masking with the grip pen. However, I never found it a pleasant experience and again I never felt great about the results. I always thought that I must have an eye hand coordination issue.
I've been considering purchasing a Wacom Cintiq so I could draw directly on screen and eliminate the issue. However, I bought the classic pen on a whim and it changed everything for me. It feels good in my hand and right away I felt the urge to sign my name. It seemed to flow like a new pen or mechanical pencil. I started sketching right away. The wacom tablet felt natural and fun to me for the first time.
If you are frustrated with your Wacom Intous or Bamboo tablet and considering spending the $1000 plus for a Wacom Cintiq, try the classic pen first. It just may be the solution to your tablet problems and its under $50.00.
Digital camera Review: Slimmer than the supplied pen Summary: 5 Stars
Happy I bought this when the Bamboo pen someone thought would work didn't. It's more comfortable.
Digital camera Review: The perfect gift for the computer artist Summary: 5 Stars
Personally, I don't know one graphic program from another; love that cut and paste. However, my daughter and daughter-in-law do! My d-in-l had this on her Wish List so I sent it. It was delivered on time for her birthday and she called me immediately to tell me it was exactly what she wanted. She reported the quality was exceptional and easy to use.
This is the third WACOM product INTUOS3 Classic Pen that we've purchased from Amazon.com and we will continue to use their services.
