Digital camera Review: Awesome little thing

I chose to buy this little thing because I read that it had good linux drivers that should be installed by default in most linux distros.
It worked out of the box with no setup on Ubuntu!
Reception is good, it's great how small it is. Very happy with all that.
Only downside I've discovered is that some linux distros (like debian) don't include the drivers by default because there are binary-only (no source code) parts which are required for the driver to work. The driver was easy to obtain (still packaged for debian, and in their non-free repo) it's just I had to go grab it on a different net connection.) Shame about that. I wish the manufacturer would release the rest of the code.

I own 2 Iogears, that tell you how much I like them!! I bought the 1st Iogear because of its low price, it was going on our 2nd computer which the kids only uses for webkins, I didn't care about signal strength. It was easy to install and I had no problem connecting to my security modem (with wep key) and it end up having a great signal.
Then I bought my older son a computer for his room and decided to buy a more expensive $90 N class adapter, since his room was on the 2nd floor. I couldn't get the expensive $90 one to connect with my modem, even with tech support they were stumped. I return the $90 adapter to the store and order the cheap $35 Iogear from Amazon. I installed the the iogear on my son computer and I had no problems connecting with my modem and we get a signal strength of 97% and my son room is on the 2nd floor, at the other end of the house from the modem.

I bought one to use on a new computer in our office. It wors perfectly. I was using a netgeat 1111 whatever on another computer and it was corrupting the Windows log-in software - so I purchased a second one to replace the netgear device and it works perfectly as well. I moved my router to another room and needed an easy, cheap solution to keep an old desktop connected. This was just the ticket. My teenager installed it and there have been no complaints.
