The Iogear does not install properly - I tried installing this on three different computers, and it wouldn't instal AT ALL on two of them. On the third computer is works, but only with minimal usage. It makes the computer slow down drastically and even freeze. The software itself also isn't very good, but I do recognize that the software on these are generally poor, so this doesn't only hold for Iogear. When I initially installed this, I was pleased ... for all of about 10 minutes. At that time, it COMPLETELY locked up my PC to the point where it was completely unresponsive and I had to manually shut it down. I had hoped it was a fluke, but the same thing continued to happen all weekend. I just uninstalled the software and have repackaged it to return to Amazon. I am very disappointed about this wireless adapter. Very difficult to make it work on my computer. After hours of talking to the IOGEAR tech support and my my moderm maker of AT&T, and still not able to make it work.

I didn't need to install any software that came with it or download any from the manufacture site.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and it was using the driver downloaded previously from Microsoft Update "Atheros."
I ran it on an XP machine and with manufacture driver/setup, and it was pretty easy from last I remembered.
Runs great.
The Range is 'Ehhh.' Still OK though.
Runs HOT, as in it gets pretty hot itself. (maybe it's just mine)
Price for it was ok. I will buy it again if the price goes to at least $12. I bought it as $19.95 with the free 2-day shipping. Will be looking out for others with low cost, range and wireless-N.
