If you are looking for a wireless usb adapter that works on linux ( ubuntu ) then look no farther. This was so easy to setup it was as easy as plug it in and your done! The linux distro ubuntu automatically recognized it and it started working right away. All I had to do was click on my network type in my WPA key and bam it was done and working!. I suspect it works just as good on windows.
The only complaint I have is that the signal strength is not as good as my other card. I compared it to my MacBook Pro's built in wifi card and it only gets 1 bar of signal strength compared to my mac that gets full bars. It still works for me though so its not a big deal

This product worked excellent practically right out of the box. It came with the software CD wich installed in under a minute along with the drivers for the USB Adapter. It worked wonderfully and was quite fast despite running it through a USB 1.1 slot. My only complaint and the reason for the loss of a star is the fact that its quite fragile. Somehow it ended up on the floor of my room one night and i woke up in the dark to get a drink, i felt a crunch as i walked across the floor. Sure enough in the morning when i checked it had cracked in half. It was a great deal though and i suggest it to anyone who can be more careful than i was. I prefer the adapter i'm currently using. for about the same price i got a netgear pci card adapter for the back of my desktop. That way it cant be broken as easily. I bought the IO Gear wireless GWU523 so I could move an older computer to a new location without re-stringing the hard wire. After taking it out of the package, it was doing exactly what it was supposed to do within 10 minutes. No hassle.
