If your considering buying a blue tooth USB adapter, this is one of the best choices you can make for the price. There is also the cheaper version of this product by the same company but with amazon's $25 or more free shipping, this is better deal, price and featurewise. Haven't had any driver issues or anything, simply follow instructions and its up in 5 minutes. Fairly fast data transfer rate, and light as a feather. Wow. This product is something that actually worked the very first time I installed it on my laptop with Windows Vista. It's truly impressive. Since Windows Vista has terrible bluetooth support built-in, I purchased and installed BlueSoleil software (IVT Corporation)and now I have my cellphone bluetooth headset working with my ACER laptop (it's great for chat), I can listen to my laptop-based mp3 music in another room, and so on. I highly recommend the IOGEAR USB adapter.Digital camera Review: It could be better

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this device but I did not like the installation. After installing this device a different USB device no longer functioned properly and so I had to uninstall this device to get it to work again...Also, Bluetooth is a relatively new networking technology and documentation is sparse about what protocols support what functions or even if a particular device will support the protocol to get the function a person wants. I wanted the FTP protocol so I transfer files from my cell phone to my computer without hooking up the stupid USB cable to the computer all the time. The phone supports sync and so does the IOGEAR device but I found out the speed of my phones bluetooth was slower than IOGEAR so to do a sync took a couple of hours for a few pictures. Suffice it to say this device has limited use for me. Fortunately, it didn't cost much but I'll be happy when the day arrives when I don't have to hook-up the USB to or remove the microSD from my cell phone to transfer photos or music.Digital camera Review: Just Works

When I tried it in XP, plug and play kept interrupting my installation and I finally gave up. After I tried it on my linux machine, it started working with no special attention.
I haven't yet given it another shot in Windows but I can recommend this item for Ubuntu with Gnome.
