Digital camera Review: Mixed feelings about this

Although this product basically works, the lack of two USB cables in the package is just flat out obnoxious. I did happen to have another cable that I got off an old webcam that I no longer use, but I hate it when a product doesn't have everything you need to make it work out of the box.
Second, on a mac the device causes a keyboard setup prompt on the computer that you switch away from. Not sure if there is a way to stop this, but it happens on every switch and obscures the monitor on the other computer with the setup window.
That being said, it does work and the switch is relatively quick to take hold.

I have the device connecting a PC and a Mac. The device seems to have a problem when I switch from the Mac to the PC. Sometimes the job never prints and sometimes it takes like 5 minutes for the print to start.
I called the company and they told me to return it to Amazon.
To tell you the truth the thing costs like 25 bucks, it is not worth the time and energy and postage to get my money back.
Tech support stinks btw.

This is a nice little switch. The cost is good. I use this to print to one printer from two compuers.
The only con about this switch is that the software is not Vista compatible. I have to manually hit the button on the switch to print back and forth from one computer or the other. I'm not even sure if you get the software to work that the switch would always be on for both computers to print anytime.

I'm an IT guy. This switch is a perfect solution for my SOHO customers who want to equally share ALL the functions of any USB all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier between two separate computers located within 20 feet of one another. Many all-in-one printer units do not come with an internal ethernet card, allowing other computer network users to have equal access to all printer/scanner/fax/copy functions. Therefore, when configuring the all-in-one printer via the USB port, only a single main computer has all printer functions available, while hosting ONLY the print function (not scan function) to other users on the network. This Iogear 2-TO-1 switch allows two computers to access all all-in-one functions independently (not concurrently). The Iogear device is plug-and-play and literaly setup in the amount of time that it takes you to plug in the cords. If you use the push-button switch on the unit, you don't even need to install the enclosed CD software utility allowing keyboard hot-key switching. My only gripe is that I wish the Iogear device came packaged with two USB cables, instead of a single usb cable. I use this product to connect one external USB disk to two computers. It works perfectly for this purpose. I don't use the software, but rather just the physical push button on the device.
Of course, you'll have to remember not to switch it while the disk is active, and properly unmount/eject the disk in each OS before switching.
