Digital camera reviews of IOGear USB 2.0 Peripherals Sharing Switch GUB201Digital camera Review: Periphearal problems Summary: 1 Stars
I had returned a similar device prior to purchasing this item, because it wouldn't work with my computer. I had hoped it was the device and not the computer, but this one doesn't work either.
It's a fairly simple connection, but for some reason my computer won't either recognize it or shuts down another USB device.
The part is probably OK, but I couldn't tell you.
I really should return it.
Digital camera Review: Plug and play Summary: 5 Stars
I have 2 computers and one printer. I plugged the USB2.0 switch in and it worked. You can select the computer by the switch on the top or by pressing the num lock key twice. It automatically switches to the first computer that you turn on.
Digital camera Review: Plug-N-Play Summary: 5 Stars
Just plug it in and you can use it! Very easy on Windows XP.
The only semi-negative thing is that it beeps when you turn your computer on. First time I heard it, I thought it was my motherboard telling me I had a hard drive failure.
Digital camera Review: Poor product Summary: 1 Stars
CD for windows a flop. After an hour online with service call to a noisy, remote location with an individual whose English was barely understandable I was told the CD was the problem, and to return the product. I opted to return and purchased a Belkin which works, but surprisingly the latter came with no instructions. What are these people who make these products thinking?
Digital camera Review: Sharing Switch Summary: 5 Stars
The IOGear USB 2.0 Peripherals Sharing Switch GUB201 works wonderfully. I'm currently using it to share a non-network scanner between two closely located desktop PC's. It is doing exactly what I hoped it would. Now I have 2 employees who can be equally efficient on one desktop scanner.
