Digital camera reviews of Intel E8400 Core 2 Duo Processor 3 GHz 6 MB Cache Socket LGA775Digital camera Review: GREAT BUY Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this hoping it was fast enough to run the games i want to play. SO far it has done everything i wanted and more! I dont know much about computers but this thing runs my vista 64 bit with ease.
Digital camera Review: Great CPU! Summary: 5 Stars
I replaced My previous CPU, an Intel E2140 dual core with this one. It basically doubles performance.
You might be interested in some numbers:
Running 2 GB corsair ram and and XFX 8800gt video card I obtained 19000 3dmarks on 3d mark 2001 with the e2140, and 41000 3dmarks with the e8400. This means that the e2140 was a limiting factor for my PC.
Doom3 runs super smooth at high settings.
I just cannot think on a better CPU for daily use and gaming. Very Happy!
Digital camera Review: Great Core 2 duo, installation a bit rough but everything came out fine. Summary: 5 Stars
Great Core 2 duo, installation a bit rough but everything came out fine.
the installation was easy as for the processor it self, but when i tried to put the heat sink on it (mobo: GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard )and push those four things over the mother board i thought i was going to break the mobo or the processor, but do not panic nothing will break, its normal to need alot of strength, before using screws and placing the mobo on the case, just gently hold the sides of the hole as close as you can and push the heat through each of hole (don't be shy.. push that thing hard and steady until you see it come through) and then you will be all set.
things that i don't mention that are obvious, make sure you dont have any static while working and ensambling the computer, use thermal grease between the processor and the heat sink, and before doing anything read carefully the installation manual.
Digital camera Review: Great price for such performance. Summary: 5 Stars
This processor is fast ....
I have installed this processor on my EVGA 780i motherboard and for the OS i'm using Vista ultimate 64-bit ..
Had a 5.9 rating in the explorer rating system in Vista ultimate 64-bit while it is on stock speed ... not Overclocked what so ever.
I think that this processor is so suitable for building a budgeted gamers PC while getting very high performance ...
I highly recommend this product ...

Digital camera Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this processor for a few months now in my gaming computer. I've got it paired with 2 GBs of RAM and a Nvidea Geforce 9600 GT running Widows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. For gaming, usually the Graphics Card is the bottleneck, but I had been using the exact same setup with an older Pentium D 2.8 Ghz Dual Core. After switching it everything runs at a higher frame-rate. I would imagine most people who are building a gaming system would do fine with this processor.
