This product is seemingly tedious to install, however it is also fairly forgiving. Air bubbles are easily removed with the included squeegee (or a credit card). If needed, the shield is easily removed without residue for a second attempt. The included "solution" is not absolutely required - I installed my first (years ago - before the solution was provided) using a bowl of water with two drops of hand soap yielding outstanding results. Once installed, any remaining imperfections typically work themselves out within 8 hours (company recommended 12- to 24-hours to cure).
This product lives up to its reputation. My iPod receives a lot of use. I am confident to keep it in my pocket with my keys. After years of use, my previous iPod does not have a single scratch.
I would recommend this product for any piece of equipment (camera screen, phone, mp3 player, etc.).
