Digital camera Review: Great Sound and easy to use

I bought this IPod speaker station after first purchasing an IHome system and being very unsatisfied with its sound and cumbersome size. My expectations were not high that this system would be much better but it was on sale and I really wanted something portable, simple to use and nice to listen to. The JBL gave me all this and its even pleasant to look at. And the little remote is a much appreciated plus!

We use this unit primarily in the kitchen. It has exceeded my expectations for sound quality. Directly above this unit we had previously installed a Sony under the counter radio/CD player. As I moved more into MP3 and iTunes, I was worried that I would need to play my original CD in under the counter CD player to get good sound. Not so. Right out of the box, this thing is just as good or better than the Sony under the counter unit.
This unit also blows away most tin sounding clock radios (that now accept ipods)that you see for sale in most department stores for $99 or so.
We also received a small external 2 speaker unit as a holiday gift, which sounds awful. I continually come back to this JBL unit, which is very compact on the counter top.
Some small caveats:
I did notice after a year that the battery in the remote control did die, which we didn't use all that much anyway.
When initially docking your iPod, be careful to adjust the sound properly. Sometimes, you can blast yourself too loud, if the volume is too loud. (the volume buttons are touch sensitive, and don't correspond to the volume indicated on your ipod screen. (as with most external players)
There is no external audio port for headphones, so don't think you can take this to work, and listen with your head phones.
Also, I noticed another review mentioning the Power adapter. It is a definite negative, since it is a BRICK. Don't think about plugging this next to anything else, in a 4 outlet wall. It simply won't fit.
All in all for price, and sound quality, and consistent great sound quality over all of the other mass produced units. This is the biggest bang for your buck.

I recieved the JBL On Stage II as a gift from my husband. I had already had the chance to listen to one at the Apple Store and was impressed with it then.
Since bringing one of these speakers home I continue to be impressed. The sound quality is great, and the compact size is perfect for my very cluttered room. Both loud and soft volumes sound very clear.
I would highly recomend this product to anyone looking for a high quality speaker for a very reasonable price.

For such a small speaker system, the JBL II produces a pretty good sound. I am VERY pleased with my JBL
PROS
(1) Remote control. If you are working out it is nice to be able to change the volume, pause and skip songs!
(2) Easy touch volume. There is volume control on the speaker system...very nice.
(3) Speaker system can be used as a docking station to recharge battery
(4) Set up for most Ipod versions. You get the attachements for these versions. It is nice because I have the nano, but we have used different Ipod versions with it as well.
(5) PORTABILITY! I take it with me EVERYWHERE in my house. Even in the bathroom, the moisture does not seem to affect it.
This is an excellent product. I have had mine for about 6 months and I have no complaints. I highly recommend this unit!

I was given one of these as a gift for around the house, and I liked it so much I came back and bought another one for the office. It is really small, but gives off great sound. I couldn't be more pleased with both of them.
