Digital camera reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds (Black/Chrome Silver)Digital camera Review: BROKE! Summary: 2 Stars
Had these headphones slightly more than 2 months - used a total of 20 times (while working out) and these headphones are now broke. The sound keeps cutting out. Boo.
Digital camera Review: Best sounding headphones ever! Summary: 5 Stars
Sound great worth the $$$. Great bass sound better the more you use them. Highly recommend.
Digital camera Review: Better out there Summary: 2 Stars
The best thing about these are the looks. For the price there are better out there. The sound quality is ok. The cord creates noise that you can hear through the ear buds so its not good for use in the gym when jogging, not as bad as others out there but its noticeable. The comfort was not as good as I had hope. I have small ears and the smallest size was still a little uncomfortable for me. They also don't seem to stay in the ears as well as I like. They come out of my ear every now and then. My old ear buds never did that. I have also emailed their customer support and from the response its obvious they didn't read my email and just sent a standard reply so I tried another email address and did not receive a response from them. So I took a star off for customer service. Better than your standard Apple white ear buds but no reason to get these over other similar priced ear buds unless you like the colors.
Digital camera Review: Big dissapointment/Cheaply made Summary: 2 Stars
I've purchased two of these several months back to have one at work and one at the gym. Sound quality is ok, decent bass and decent highs but nothing spectacular, which was what was to be expected. I have big ear canals so these fit inside perfectly and stay for the most part. I was happy until one pair stopped working in one ear and a month later the other pair had a loose cap that continuously pops off one ear, leaving the wire and speaker exposed. I do not recommend these and don't spend your money on something better made.
Digital camera Review: Bigger than my last JBuds; sound good Summary: 5 Stars
The sound is different than my last JBuds (the previous model to these.) I had to fiddle with the equalizer a bit to get it sounding right. Maybe I had to overcompensate for the previous ones, or maybe these need the overcompensating... hard to tell. Either way, if you ever think that headphones are supposed to sound great out of the box without touching the EQ, you're wrong. (Now, if you mess around with the EQ and still can't get them to sound good, it's probably the headphones.)
The barrel of the headphones is about twice as long as the previous model JBuds. They kind of hit my ears and feel a bit bulky, but I have gotten used to them quite easily. If the Apple ear buds bug you, or you find that most brands are 'too big', them these are definitely not for you.
These are also about 3-4 inches shorter than the previous model, measured side by side from jack to ear bud. But the plastic molded splitter is much farther down the cord than the previous model.
They have an "L" and "R" printed on the outside of the earbud for those that care to know.
Another difference from the previous model is that the jack is not a 90-degree angle one, but comes straight out.
The bass is also a bit deeper on these. Not necessarily better, but more pronounced and deeper. There is a slight tin-can feel (due to the extra-long barrel shape) to the bass and high end, but I just used the EQ to help that.
