Digital camera reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds -Onyx Black

Digital camera Review: A great product for the discounted price.
Summary: 4 Stars

I have bought this at a discounted price of about $13.00 a piece.

It is a great product at that price. However, I do not see myself buying it at the full price. This is not a premium earbud that is worth at a $80 or $100 price.

Quality of build is good. It is sturdy and would last a long time.

Digital camera Review: A great set of quality-made headphones that work as advertised
Summary: 5 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
The short: A great set of quality-made headphones that work as advertised by allowing you to hear greater audio detail at lower volume levels. Additionally, these can be very loud too if you feel like cranking it up.

The long: The JLab J2 headphones are, as the name implies, a 2nd version of the first JLab ear bud headphones. The first iteration of these headphones got mixed reviews at various sites. So I was a little hesitant to get these. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of materials and the better than expected sound.

I got these to use with my video iPod (also purchased at Amazon). I used the OEM iPod headphones because they didn't fall out when I exercise. However, iPod OEM headphones tend to sound a little `tinny' because they are slightly away from the ear canal.

The JLab J2 headphones advertise noise isolating (not noise cancelling) and claim you can hear greater detail at lower volume levels because of this. The noise isolation is the fact it is an ear bud that seals the ear canal. They are definitely correct when they say you can hear more detail. THESE ARE GREAT!

I used an audio splitter to listen to my iPod headphones and the JLab J2 headphones side-by-side. I was able to hear my music much easier with the ear buds in as opposed to the iPod headphones. This was at the same volume level, so I could actually turn it down some, which is better for hearing anyway. I also cranked these up and found them to be louder at top audio levels than the iPod headphones. Either way you go, these beat the iPod OEM headphones, which cost just as much.

PROS:

* High quality feel, made from good materials.
* 3 sizes of ear bud caps for different sized ears.
* NUMEROUS colors available to match your iPod, Zune, etc.
* Hear better audio a lower levels.
* Blasts audio at upper levels.
* Good value at this price.

CONS:

* Ear bud headphones require more frequent cleaning because they are actually in the ear canal.
* Shorter cord with an extension would be nice for those who wear armbands.

RECOMMENDATION:

I would highly recommend these headphones for any audio player, especially for an iPod. However, if you are not an ear bud fan, stay away.

Digital camera Review: A middle schooler's review
Summary: 5 Stars

JBL Creature II 3-Piece Powered Speaker SystemThese speakers are good too. These earbuds are amazing. I am a middle school student and abuse my headphones a lot. Since I ride the bus home, I can daily use the noise canceling. Unlike other noise canceling headphones, They do not drain my iPod's battery any more than $10 headphones I get at best buy. The noise canceling is amazing, and I only hear people on the bus over my music if some girl next to me screams. :-) The buds that come with them fit my ear well, and if I go on a trip from a high altitude to a low one, I have to pull them out every hour or when i pull them out the buds stay in my ear because of how well the seal. The only thing better about these headphones noise canceling properties is the noise. Sit back and relax 'cause once I start talking about these headphones noise, it is like trying to slow a train with a feather.

Unlike other headphones which claim, "concert like sound" these trump them all. The bass is amazing, and the treble is a little high, but I can fix that with EQ on my iPod. Acoustic music is its only weak point, and during songs with acoustic guitar, the headphones emit a high pitched noise. For short periods of time a.k.a bus rides, it is ok, but for long trips a.k.a visiting relatives, it may give you a slight headache. But enough about the acoustic, for rock, (metal, light, slow) it is great. The best song to try these on is Through Fire and Flames. (good song) I highly recommend these headphones, I have not had them for long, so I do not know about how durable they are, but they seem pretty durable, and have great noise.

Digital camera Review: A pleasant surprise
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these little ones because my new netbook has terrible inbuilt speakers, and I needed something in order to use Skype. I have been using mostly Sennheiser products, and I thought it was high time I tried something else, just for a change. I usually use headphones, because I can hardly tolerate earphones. With this one, it's a completely different experience. These babies are completely convenient to wear, block most of the outside noise, and, what's most important, pride themselves in amazing sound quality when it comes to the reproduction of human voices (I'm a strong believer in listening to music on a decent stereo, or even audiophile system, I rarely use headphones or earphones). Having said that, I can imagine that these could easily perform well with music.
And with the price drop before Christmas, they were a steal.
All in all, these are brilliant little jewels that I would recommend to anyone.

Digital camera Review: A steal for it's superior sound quality, comfort, and design
Summary: 5 Stars

I was looking for a pair of earbuds to replace the ones I had for my workouts. The Apple M9394G/A iPod Earbud Headphones that I had were awesome and lasted for more than two years through daily workouts and even a deployment to the desert but they're expensive and I wasn't willing to shell out that kind of dough for another pair.

At $13.99, these J2's sound just as good and are even more comfortable than my Apple earbuds. The L-shape of the earbuds allows it to fit snuggly into the ear and makes it low profile - no longer do you have noticeable earbuds sticking out of your ears like a dork. There are also a variety of colors enabling you to match it your Ipod - I chose black to go with my black Ipod and DLO case making it a very sleek package.

I listen mostly to hip-hop and electronica when I workout. I don't know why some of the reviewers were saying that the sound quality of these are poor - the sound is amazing! Just put in some Mylo or Eric Prydz and you'll know what I'm talking about. The bass bumps and the highs sound crisp and distinct.

In terms of durability, only time will tell but so far there are no issues. I will update my review after a few more months of regular workouts (5 times a week, one to two hours each time). As it stands, these earbuds are fantastic and a steal for the price.
