Digital camera reviews of JBuds J2 Premium Hi-Fi Noise-Isolating Earbuds -Onyx Black

Digital camera Review: Bad sound. Bad. Bad. Bad.
Summary: 1 Stars

While well constructed, the J2's are some of the WORST sounding earbuds I've ever had the misfortune to waste money on. They are hard to fit in your ears, and the "engineering" that went into these puts the driver in some kind of tube. The effect is that sound is muffled, hollow, and the audio experience is just poorly crafted. Trables are harsh, mids are non-existent, and bass is a distorted mess.

If you have any respect for yourself, and your ability to judge sound, stay FAR FAR AWAY from these buds. They are AWFUL. Sorry Jbuds, this is an epic fail.

Digital camera Review: Beautiful Design, Comfortable, Ok Sound
Summary: 4 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I love listening to my iPod or iPhone, with headphones. I have used the stock earbuds as well as V-Moda's Vibe Duos, so I was somewhat skeptical to try a product that cost about 1/4 the price of the V-Modas.

However, the JBuds J2 impressed me, for the price.

What do the JBuds J2 do best? Design. The earbuds look and feel nice, and they come beautifully packaged. Secondly, these are incredibly comfortable earbuds. They come with three size earbud inserts, and I always need the smallest one. They feel comfortable, and they stay in my ear. I could wear them for hours, unlike V-Moda's, which tires my ears out after a while. Furthermore, unlike V-Modas, moving the headphone cord, or when it touches your clothes, it does not echo up through the earbuds, which is quite annoying. No such problem here.

Sound Quality - This is the area where the V-Modas certainly beat these JBuds J2. However, the J2's certainly deliver adequate sound for the price and the convenience of the other positives. Furthermore, they are significantly more comfortable than the stock iPod earbuds and provide a bit better sound. Of course, the sound insulation they provide is also a great feature because it helps block out sounds around you, which the iPod Stock buds do not do at all. They just lack a bit of fidelity and seem to soften the music a bit too much for my ideal liking.

Overall, the JBuds impressed me. If you want to move to a in-ear earbud with an affordable price, these seem like a decent choice. They are extremely comfortable in your ear, stay in your ear, block sounds around you, look good, are of good quality, and sound ok. Sound quality isn't always the most important factor when choosing an ear bud. JBuds J2 deliver ok sound, while the overall product is so solid because of the comfort, look, and quality. These are not to be dismissed.

Digital camera Review: Best Ever For the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

Short and simple (Not any more): 51 years old, have logged literally thousands of hours listening to music through either headphones or ear buds, including some very expensive models. The JBuds J2 ear buds are simply amazing for the price - no hesitation at all rating them a 5.0.

I have read some of the other reviews stating the sound quality is poor and there are at least three possible reasons for such disparity in reviews: (1) the manufacturing Quality Control is atrocious, and I lucked out and got a good pair, or (2) the source of the music (player) or connection is at fault. An improper connection (corroded or loose) will make it impossible for any ear bud to play well, or (3) the ear bud cannot effectively fit within the ear canal, as some have noted.

Because of the nature of my job my hearing is tested every year and despite my age, I have not lost any ability to hear the entire tested frequency range and have scored nearly perfect results for 26 years - so I know my hearing is Okay. My home system consists of Paradigm Signature 6 Reference Speakers bi-amped with a Denon 5805 AVR (i.e. 12,000 dollars worth of amplifier/speakers for 2 channel production that as wife has said sounds no different from live performances that we have attended at state of the art acoustical venues (Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theater). So I have a good benchmark (reference) to gauge the quality of the sound of the JBuds against and will stand by my rating of their sound quality.

Digital camera Review: Best Headphones I Have Ever Owned!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been using these headphones for about 9 months, and they are great. The sound quality is top notch for their price range. I never spend more than $30 on a pair of headphones, but these are still the best. They have amazing bass and sound quality, and feel durable.
However, I am on my third pair because the first too stopped working after so long. this is not to say they are crappy headphones, because my headphones always break within so many monthes of use, including my skullcandys jvc marshmallows, koss earbuds, etc, which seems weird because I treat them better than anyone I know. The point is, Jlab has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. A quick email letting them know I had a problem, and I had my new headphones in less than a week!

Digital camera Review: Best In-Ear Headphones I've Ever Used
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm going to keep this short and to the point. Over the past 10 or so years, I've used at least 7 pairs of in-ear headphones on a very regular basis. None of the high-end Bose or anything, but the Sony MDR-EX71SL, Sennheiser CX300, Creative Labs EP-630, Lenntek, Skull Candy and probably one or two others. I'd take the J2s over any of them, hands down, for sound quality, comfort, and PRICE. Also, I use headphones every day for many reasons, but most importantly, for the gym. Most, if not all, of the other headphones have the stethoscope effect any time the wire hits your body, the treadmill, etc. Not the J2s. Complete silence.

For the price, there is not a better in-ear headphone. I'm sure the Bose's sound better, but even that I can't attest to. But for the price of one Bose, I can get 5 J2s. I'll take my 5 pairs, thank you.
