I bought this headphone after doing much research and I am completely satisfied with its performance so far. There is a hum while turning on noise cancellation without music, but I don't just turn it on without music anyways. While traveling on Boeing 737-300 and 737-700 on a short trip, I tested it's performance and it really brought down the engine noise to zero.Digital camera Review: Awesome!

I tested them outside I live near an airport you could still hear the planes, but they took out most of the noise. I tried them in my boiler room worked great. I tried them with the noise canceling off they sound OK. Very comfortable on the ears. I Have small ears so ear buds don't work for me. Overall quite impressed.Digital camera Review: Awesome!!!!

Bought this for my trip down under. It was a 15 hour flight. Was about to buy a Bose but decided to buy this one due to the reviews on the internet. The quality of the music and videos when I plugged it into My ipod video was awesome. The noise canceling feature was even better. I had a snoring dude next to me on the way from Dallas to LA..(not happy).. Not to worry I pulled out my JVC earphones and switched to noise canceling feature and AAAHHHHHH!!!!!! No more snoring dude. On the way back on the 15 hour flight (Aussie Land) was crying baby. No worries mate !Once again I pulled out my JVC earphones and AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! No more baby. Highly recommend this product !!! I can afford the Bose,but why? The JVC was great and a nice price!!! I'm going to purchase another one for my Hubby for our Toronto trip in June. If a 15 hour flight is not a good enough then I don't know what is!!!!Digital camera Review: Awful

I have used Bose in the past, but felt the product was poorly constructed and wanted to try something new.
The JVC HAN250 are simply awful.
They sound so cheap. The bass is muddy, the highend is tinny.
The sound definition is a joke.
They are alot smaller than the Bose so you don't have the nice padding around your ear.
I will say they do a decent job of noise filtering but that's just part of the reason to use headphones.
Very disappointed...A cheap pair of Sony's sound better.

I looked at numerous noise-cancelling headphones before buying, and I kept thinking "Should I spend the additional $150-200 to make sure I have something great?" Then the cheapskate in me took over, after reading reviews that said this item performed beautifully, at a much lower price than some of its competitors. THEY WERE CORRECT! I can't imagine anything giving better sound or doing a better noise-reduction job. Great item. Even on a cross-country flight they're very comfortable and the time flies when I just pop in my I-Pod and go. Very well-padded ear pieces, and the design and operation are extremely simple. Love it.
