Digital camera reviews of JVC HANC250 Noise Cancelling Headphones - Black

Digital camera Review: Best Bet...
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently bought this noise canceling head phones and I found them really good. There are very few minor problems but overall its good.

I have done little bit research on noise canceling head phones before buying one...and I feel its not wasted...the problems I faced are same as faced by some other reviews.

Let me tell about the cons first...

1. Battery placement...It can be outside somewhere...every time, I think of taking out the battery, I feel like breaking the ear cups...stupid design (I gave 4 stars just because of this...)
2. The cord can be bit more of length. Its very short
3. Volume control
4. Some what costly for me, but ok with the competition...

(2 and 3) can be done by buying an extenstion cable with volume control for $10 but for the first problem, we have to put up with that.

Pros:

1. Bass is good.
2. Works great even without noise canceling ON, please look at the impedance in specs...its 96ohms(less is better) which is great when compared to senheissar and Audio Techica's and Bose doesn't fit here...
3. Comfortable: neither exactly over the ear nor on-the-ear but I feel its a nice design covering either design problems
4. Looks good and light on ear...ofcourse, the kit holder is also good...
5. I have seen some reviews saying about the amplication of sound when Noise canceling is ON...but its ok as you can always reduce the sound but dont think noise cancelation doesn't work at all.
6. Last but not the least, noise cancellation works great...

In the end, I think I made the right choice...over Panasonic RP-HC500, senheissar PXC-250, Audio Technica's ATH-ANC7...

Digital camera Review: Best Headphones for Car, Plane, Computer, MP3 Player
Summary: 5 Stars

Have had this model headphone for a few years now and absolutely love them. Price point is great (I paid about $100) and they work superbly. I'm mid-40's and a little worse hearing than when I was young but feel the base to treble works quite well for me. The cord comes out for easy "noise-cancelling only mode" when on an airplane, and the flattening storage works well. Fits inside my computer case within its own case. I would recommend the Koss VC20 volume control to go with it. And if I recall, the plane adapter (dual plug for older planes) came with the headphones.

I have had others try my headphones and go out and buy their own. Mine are never far from me. I use them with my smartphone, my computer, and when flying/traveling. May be the best "wow - they really work well" gift I ever bought myself.

Digital camera Review: Best Noise Reduction Headphones out there for price
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought these headphones about 6 months ago and haven't regretted it since. The Sound quality is great and they are super comfortable. Noise reduction also works great but there is a low humm when your using them without music. You can hear some higher pitched loud noises but they are not distinguishable so they are in no way distracting or annoying. I've tried a lot of different noise reduction headphones on and the only one that are better are the bose headphones. And yes the bose do blow these out of the water. But if you don't want to drop $300+ dollars then these are the way to go.

Digital camera Review: Best Noise-Cancelling Headphones for the Money
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried them all in two different stores before pulling the trigger. The Bose are great, IF (big if) you have the disposable income to spend, but by no means are they three-times the money better than these JVSc. The Bose get a slight edge of eliminating from of the higher noises in the music-less tests - which is to say, noise canceling on with no music running through them - play some music on and both the JVC and the Bose seem identical, you'll hardly hear a thing. Riding the subway in NYC (where I live) with these on is surreal, it's like you've gone deaf excepting the music you're playing and, at most, faint clicks and clacks that seem off in the distance. If you have an inconsiderate idiot-of-a-neighbor who thinks they're a wannabe hip-hop producer who plays bass-y tracks (of crap) these will bring some serenity into you home life as well. The pro is these will offer you some peace-and-quiet from almost any situation with noise in them and, for the money, you can't go wrong. My only con, it's minor but all headphones I'd say this about excepting the hang-in-the-ear but worthless for good noise reproduction, they do wear on your ears eventually. Now as far as the audiophile in me, these are GREAT sounding, if you like bass (I do, just not from my neighbor) these rock, they produce a good thumpy and thick sound when needed but are just as adept reproducing say alt-folk like the Avett Brothers, these are not just awesome at eliminating sound, but also reproducing it as well. Of all my reviews these are about as solid a five-star as I think I've ever given any product. I'm more than impressed which, if you knew me, that's pretty hard to do.

Digital camera Review: Best audiophones with a great pricepoint
Summary: 5 Stars

Having lost my very expensive Bose noise reduction headphones, I searched for a more reasonably priced replacement. THIS IS THE REAL THING!
The sound quality is first rate, which is ultimately what really counts. The price is about one-third of the Bose. Highly recommended!
