When searching for a new set of headphones I turned to noise cancelling technology. A colleague of mine had bought a pair of the Bose headphones and I was blown away by the noise cancelling performance, and comfort of the headphones on the ear. When I did some reasearch online, I found that the headphones were receiving fantastic reviews, but with two major draw-backs: price (thebose headphones are extremely expensive) and the fact that you could not use the headphones unless you turn on the noise cancelling technology.
These JVC headphones are fantastic. The performance is equal to that of much higher-priced headphones, with the added value of being able to use the headphones even with the noise cancellation feature turned off. And all of that for a fraction of the price. I used these headphones on international flights to and from Europe and they were amazing and made the flight that much more pleasant. I bought a second pair for my wife for the trip, as well, and she absolutely LOVES them.

Outstanding product for the value. Just got back from using the headphones on several long flights-Great noise reduction, good sound, awesome value. Very comfortable (I wore them for about 9 hrs straight). The Batt life was pretty good as well-especially for 1 aaa batt-lasted about 30hrs on the Batt that came with them. One draw back-the cord. Too short-works fine for flights and walking around the airport but not much else.Digital camera Review: Better Than Bose QC

Good : Sound quality, NC feature, light weight, detachable cord for ease of use, comfort, good price.
Problems : Small cord, tricky battery insertion.

I purchased these headphones for use in an office environment. I work in a sea of cubicles and I was hoping these would help tune out the noise. These headphones do such a great job. I don't hear anything anymore (I even miss phone calls sometimes). I have coworkers that own the Bose equivalent headphones, and I had them try these on and they were wowed. The consensus around the office was that these are easily equivalent to anything anyone else has tried, and in most cases much better.
The sound quality is excellent as well. I'm no audiophile, but I do listen to music probalby 3-4 hours a day with these things on and they sound great and they're comfortable.
I've only had these for 2 months now, so I will wait to comment on the durability of them. They feel like they're made well, but time will tell.
