Digital camera reviews of JVC MX-KC45 400-Watt Mini Audio System with 3-Disc CD Changer, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM TunerDigital camera Review: Bigger than a mini-shelf system. Summary: 4 StarsI was looking for a mini-shelf system that would hold more than one CD, with powerful sound, to go in my living room. This one does have good sound, plus good radio reception. However, it is bigger than I thought it would be. I don't consider it a mini audio system. But, overall, it is meeting my needs. If I had realized that it was so big, I would have chosen another system. It probably had the dimensions in the description, but I didn't think to check it out.
Summary of JVC MX-KC45 400-Watt Mini Audio System with 3-Disc CD Changer, Cassette Deck, and AM/FM TunerJVC MXKC45 400 Watt Mini System with USB Audio The MX-KC45 audio system may come in a relatively small package, but it packs a huge sound thanks to its 400 watts (200 watts x 2) of total power. The stereo's generous output, when teamed with its pair of three-way bass-reflex speakers and its Sound Turbo function, delivers a rich, powerful sound that resonates in all but the largest rooms. The MX-KC45 also boasts an impressive collection of features that stand above many similarly priced systems, such as a front auxiliary input, a USB PC link, and a three-disc CD changer that supports CD, CD-R/RW, and MP3/WMA (on CD-R/RW) formats. The carousel changer also offers such functions as 32-track programming, random play, and repeat play, along with a "play and exchange" system that lets you swap out two discs without interrupting playback of the third. To make MP3 and WMA playback more informative, JVC added ID3 tagging, which lets users read the artist and track data on the front readout. And should listeners tire of CDs, they can turn to the dual full-logic cassette deck--which offers both playback and recording--or the digital AM/FM tuner. Audio-wise, the MX-KC45 stands ready to blow the roof off. Each speaker comes with a 6.31-inch cone woofer, a 2-inch dome midrange, and a 0.81-inch dome tweeter, which combine to produce a crisp, full-bodied audio soundstage. The system also offers JVC's Sound Turbo function, which intensifies the sound at the touch of a button. Need to pump up the volume for your backyard party or basement funk fest? Look no further than Sound Turbo. Listeners with large digital music collections, meanwhile, will dig the front auxiliary input and USB PC link. The auxiliary input lets you connect an iPod, personal MP3 player, or other portable music device to the MX-KC45, so you can share all your favorite playlists with friends and without headphones. The USB link works in much the same manner, except it connects to your PC or Mac and gives you access to the music stored on your hard drive. You can even listen to live streaming Internet radio or stored podcasts on the MX-KC45's powerful speakers. Additional features include three preset equalizer settings (rock, pop, and classic), a 1-bit dual digital-to-analog converter, an Eco mode that conserves energy, and a headphone jack for private listening. As with all of JVC's compact audio systems, the MX-KC45 is covered by a one-year warranty on parts and labor. What's in the Box MX-KC45 audio system, two speakers, remote control, user's manual.
