Digital camera Review: Novice Recommended... Quick & Easy.

I am a bit of a novice when it comes to speaker building and wood working skills. I just recently purchased a Skil Saw 1825 router that I am using in combo with the Jasper Circle Jigs. I am just getting familiar with using a router since I originally bought it to do my own shelving & trim work around the house. I am also a novice when it comes to routing & am becoming more familiar with my router. So, bare that in mind when reading my review.
I have always used a jigsaw in times past when it came to cut outs or holes. Holes made with jigsaws always seem to be out of round or the cut always ends up being at anything but the 90 degree angle you are shooting for, so I figured I would gived this product a try. I got this kit for sub box build that's in process, and a tower speaker build that couldn't be soon enough :) I haven't used a product like this before, and was a bit excited to try it out for the first time.
My router requires 3 longer screws for proper mounting and balancing. The mounting kit that came with the large Circle Jig only came with 2 screws long enough to work with the Skil Saw model 1825. So, I made due with the 2 screws I had and tried to keep it stable on the wood surface. 3 would have leveled things out making it much easier and with less effort. Instead I may have used to much down force on the 2 screws that were mounted to maintain the balance for a proper cut so that I ended up denting/digging a ring into the wood outside the cutout. Minus 1 star for that.
In retrospect I could have used a screw from the smaller Cirlce Jig 200 kit, but shouldn't of had to. I also should have done a a test run on a scrap board, but hindsight is always 20/20. The good news it that the ring probably won't be seen on my Tapped Horn box. The box will be all black, so I'm not to worried about it
I recommend this product based how easy and quick it was to use. The instructions included we fairly easy to understand, although there were no diagrams which may have been helpful. I still thought they were suffucient enough that a novice like myself was able to understand them & got it right on the first try... well, mostly except for the ring :)
Would have been 5 stars if hadn't been for the missing screw.
