Digital camera Review: Does the job nicely

I've been using this unit for a few weeks to power a portable CD/MP3 player that already had an AC power adapter. It has performed flawlessly under that light load, and I am very satisfied. It is solidly made. It gets warm to the touch but not hot when plugged in. I followed the manual's recommendation to unplug it or turn it off when I start the engine; when I turn it on it emits a loud tone for half a second but is totally silent after that.
My old Saab has a slightly smaller cigarette lighter socket than most American cars so I was a little worried that the cigarette lighter plug might not fit, but it works just fine. The built-in fuse is a standard automobile fuse, which should be easy to replace should it ever fail.

I purchased this device so that I could play a large library of old cassette books on tape while on road trips. It worked fine. Bought this and used mostly for laptop. Also works well for cell phone charging and baby toys. Have no problems, works great. It doesn't get hot or make noise. Plenty of power, no need to spend more money than this, although I do recommend checking the power needed for each item. As long as only one item is being powered, this device is plenty of power. I love this accessory I use it when I am traveling to recharge my phone and laptop. Not only in my car but in some airplanes too, American Airlines has DC outlets so you can plug it in and recharge your laptop during your flight instad of running out of battery in the middle of your flight.Digital camera Review: Excellent productg

Used it to power my laptop with a USB GPS, another laptop that played DVD for the kids, a set of speakers and the random cell phone charging. Works wonderful. Maybe the next version will come with a power splitter?
