Digital camera reviews of Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set DG 12mm 20mm and 36mm Tubes for Canon EOS AF Digital and Film Cameras - AEXRUBEDGCDigital camera Review: A great option Summary: 5 Stars
I picked these up for the times I want to shoot in Micro. It's not something I do often, so buying specific glass for that wasnt something I wanted to do. I have used them on with my Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8"L" USM,
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8"L" IS USM & Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6"L" IS USM and am very happy with the results.
Digital camera Review: Actually a 4.5. Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought these tubes 2 days ago from an electronics store in Japan, actually cheaper than on here by about $60, to go with my Canon 40D and 28-135mm kit lens and 100mm f/2 prime lens so I can start getting into macro-photography.
I was a little confused at first, but that only lasted about 20 seconds. It didn't take me long to realize that when they say you lose infinity focus, they aren't pulling your leg. I have to be right onto of what I'm shooting to get it in focus, but that means it's doing what it's supposed to be doing - getting me much closer to my subject.
The only reason I would take off .5 stars is because with all three tubes, in low(er) light situations, autofucus just runs right past the correct focus. Not much of a problem though, as I find it easier to just manually focus at this distance anyway. I imagine this is in part the camera, and in part optics. I took a picture of a quarter, and to be able to handhold it and it be exposed relatively properly, I had to use ISO 3200. I would imagine that situation isn't providing enough light to focus. No problem in my book.
Also, the depth of view is extremely minute, as you can see in my pictures. Doesn't leave much room for error, but you can certianly see when you get the focus you want. You can even watch the DOV pass up and down your viewfinder as you focus.
I like it, and I'm glad I bought it. Now I just need a tripod to get even more out of these tubes (and the rest of my gear).

Digital camera Review: Compatible with EF and EF-S Summary: 5 Stars
Just got mines today, works great with both EF and EF-S lenses. The connection points for both are clearly marked. Feels solid and well made. Feels secure hanging 2lb-lens with all three tubes in between.
Lighting and depth of field are big challenges if you want big enlargement, since often times I found the distance between the subject and lens is almost zero. Night scene shooting with long exposure is one thing, bright object under great magnification with long exposure is quite another... Never noticed how dusty everything I have is till I put on these tubes! Makes me wonder how much detailed prep works need to go into real macro shootings... But this certainly helps giving me quite a unique and fascinating way of looking at the world around me!
Digital camera Review: Convenient and effective Summary: 5 Stars
I don't have a Macro lens so decided to purchase these tubes. I have been able to use with my Canon 70-200 2.8, 50 1.8 and Tamron lenses and was able to get pretty good pictures. Yesterday I was able to take pictures in a hospital with low light and the results are remarkable.
It did take me a while to figure out focusing distances and depth of field but once that was settled...They are certainly keepers
