This transmitter is very easy to use and works as advertised. However, the sound quality is severely lacking, especially considering the price.
I bought a cassette adapter right after I bought my iPod so I could listen to it in my car immediately, then I figured I'd shop around for the best transmitter I could find. This one definitely had the best reviews, and Amazon has the best price for it. I really had no complaints about the adapter, but I figured the transmitter would be a better product. Not so!!
At first the sound was not too good w/the adapter, but after playing around with the EQ settings for awhile I finally put the iPod on 'bass booster' and the difference was like night and day. It sounds almost as good as a CD now. I discovered that the day before the transmitter arrived. Once I hooked that up I was sorely disappointed. The sound is fairly clear, although there's some static for certain frequencies. I'm not sure of the best way to describe it, but the sound through the radio is very dark and muted. I have to turn the volume up a lot higher than w/the adapter, and it just doesn't sound good at all. I tried several different stations, that wasn't the problem. Even if I hadn't have gotten the EQ setting right and realized how good it could sound through the adapter, I would not have been satisfied w/the audio quality using this product.
I will be returning it, but I'm actually very happy the adapter works better...I got that plus a universal car charger for less than 1/3rd the price of this transmitter!

I had been researching what kind of transmitter to buy when I noticed that my cousin had the Kensington FM transmitter. After hearing how good it sounded in his own radio I was hooked. I bought my own (in black) and it has been perfect. Once the stations are aligned, the moment I plug it in the radio static is completely gone and ready to play my ipod. The three options for stations are perfect for when traveling long distances and the radio stations are changing. Personally I've never had any trouble reading the screen like other users I know, however, my cigarette lighter outlet is very low on my dash which might make it easier to see. It will depend on where your cigarette lighter outlet is. The one downside I have noticed is that I have to turn up the volume louder than I normally would with my radio or CD player. This isn't a big deal in my opinion - I just turn the volume up. All together, I'm very happy with this product. I was very happy at the price as well.Digital camera Review: A good interim solution

Hard wired is better but this is a good interim solution. As far as price, a little over priced for the product but it works.

Yes, its amazing, its suprimes even the broadcasting's signal in the same frecuency. additional you can change to any other, it's signal is very strong.
but, the screen is very difficult tu see, you may see it only from the front not from any other place. however is not necessary to change the settings many times.

I live in the Chicago area and have had very few problems with the unit. I have found that if there is slight static at the predetermined frequency, it usually goes away with a little bit of tuning. Overall I am very pleased with the sound quality without having to pay through the nose.
