Digital camera reviews of Kensington 33199 Digital FM Transmitter and Auto Charger for iPod (Black)

Digital camera Review: Didn't fit
Summary: 3 Stars

I'm sure this product may work quite nicely. I bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas, however it did not fit into his cigarette lighter output of the car, all 3 of them in his car. He has a Nissan Frontier. So unfortunately we did not find out how well it does or does not work. Make sure to check the size. And then we lost a part when we opened it, so unfortunately can't return it.
Better luck to you!

Digital camera Review: Digital FM transmitter
Summary: 4 Stars

This product is vastly superior to analog versions. If you want to hook up your iPod to the car stereo, make sure you get a digital FM transmitter. The sound quality is much better. Easy to hook up with a variety of unused radio stations to broadcast your iPod through. I did notice that the quality of your music will be more evident when it is played through the car stereo. CD quality mp3s sound just like a CD is playing. Radio copies of songs or lower byte mp3s (ones that were say less than 500 kb) will not sound great on the car stereo. It plays as loud as you want, not like an add on satellite receiver that plays at a much softer volume. All you need is one free cigarette lighter (power plug) in your vehicle, then set the plug end of the FM transmitter to a station and set your radio to the same station (e.g. frequency 88.1) and away you go. This is a nice way to have your music on a long road trip playing at full volume compared to one person listening to it alone with earphones on their iPod. Kensington and other brands have non-digital versions that sound like older radios not near CD quality at all. It is not too expensive to move up to the digital version (still under $80). Oh yea, it charges your iPod too. Nice extra feature, you never run out of juice on the trip.

Digital camera Review: Does Exactly what it is Suppose to Do
Summary: 4 Stars

Its a FM Transmitter that most people are going to play mp3 through, of course it doesn't sound as good as a CD! It's quality is between a CD and the Radio. Good product! I can't stand when people right reviews when they haven't given the product it's rightful evaluation. Be aware of people and their incompetence! I have had the product for a year (enough time to really learn and understand how the product works) and it does exactly what I expected it to do, it plays my ipod through the radio. I travel alot and use several different vehicles and haven't run into a problem. If you enjoy listening to your own music in a simple way, go and buy this product.

Digital camera Review: Does everything it should
Summary: 5 Stars

The Kensington Digital FM transmitter and Auto Charger has worked wonderfully for listening to my iPod in the car. The transmission is sometimes fuzzy, especially when it is raining outside, but most of the time is works wonderfully. I would recommend this product unless you live in a rainy climate, then I would have to warn you, but this may be the case with all FM trasmitters in the rain.

Digital camera Review: Does not charge iPhone 3G
Summary: 4 Stars

This is the best FM transmitter I've ever used, but after I upgraded to the new iPhone 3G the unit only works as a transmitter. The iPhone 3G displays a message saying this unit will not charge the iphone. The old iPhone worked fine with the unit.
