Digital camera Review: Sturdy Champion Summary: 4 Stars
My husband bought one of these some years ago and, not only did he love it, but was also complimented on how versatile it was by numerous colleagues who were unable to find one. He constantly travels all over the world and found this the perfect carry on for his computer and other items he needs to keep with him at all times. As it was beginning to fade he tried, unsuccessfully, to replace it. Fortunately I was able to locate one that looked identical and was cheaper than the original that he had purchased from a computer chain. In every aspect, it is identical except for the handle which is not curved, although the description says that it is. This one feature made the Contour extremely maneuverable and made tramping through endless airport terminals with 2 other larger suitcases a breeze. It is also extremely durable. My husband thinks that the original, with a more pronounced curved handle, probably resulted in the higher cost and for some reason the manufacturer decided to produce an item that was more cost effective for the customer. To sum up, an excellent product. As the Contour is still functional, my husband has given it to our daughter to tote her hair styling equipment around when she has to go to a client's home so I can see this item going on for ever like a certain well known battery!
Digital camera Review: Sturdy, spacious flexible Summary: 4 Stars
Overall this bag has done great so far. Only a couple of trips since I received it, but I've broken it in.
I needed a bag large enough to carry a laptop AND a ultra-portable projector, plus a day's worth of cloths, plus anything else I need for my presentations (occasionally that includes lego sets!). All while staying hand-carryable and highly mobile.
Pros: lots of flexible space. The main clothing compartment is definitely enough for a clean shirt, slacks and other bare necessities. OR, in my case, a projector and squashed cloths. The center laptop space is well protected/padded, and will hold your laptop and power supply with ease. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of wasted space around the laptop. The small space for miscellaneous office stuff (business cards, pens, etc) is large enough for basics, but gets crowded quick if you throw in a presentation remote and flash drive. The paper/file section is a nice feature for handouts, but has limited space before it encroaches on the clothing compartment. The real star is the miscellaneous space to either side of the handle. It's perfect for toiletries, medicine (immodium! never leave home without it), personal electronics, even a book. It's better protected than the front pocket and makes good use of otherwise wasted space. Others have commented on the handle with justification. It is looser than I prefer, and doesn't give me the confidence maneuvering the bag that I would like. Depending on your hand size, it can also get uncomfortable to hold/drag for long distances. The large, wide-set wheels are nice and I haven't had any trouble with uneven surfaces, even gravel.
Overall, this is definitely too big for a daily commute laptop bag, but for one or even two day trips, it offers enough space and flexibility to accommodate most business travelers. For the Amazon price, it's definitely worthwhile.
Digital camera Review: This bag RULES for scrapbooking!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, I know - a little bit unconventional to use a laptop bag to tote my scrapbooking stuff around in, but we scrapbookers are like that - we ALWAYS look for cool ways to run around to crops and events while EASILY toting all our goodies behind us.
I decided to give this bag a try for my laptop - and once you're a scrapbooker, you look at EVERYTHING differently - in a "how can I use THAT thing for scrapbooking??" sort of way... so I started measuring the various pockets and sections, to discover there's a nice neat little expandable pocket that works great for 8 1/2" X 11" paper, another one with criss-cross straps that very nicely holds in 12" X 12" paper, huge pockets that carry my albums and/or tools like a dream, and the handle and wheels operate BY FAR better than any other tote or organizer I've ever bought from a scrapbook store FOR scrapbooking stuff. And the thing I like the most - I'm rather tall, and the handle is long enough so the thing doesn't bump into my ankles when I'm rolling it down the sidewalk.
My new unexpected find is my fave right now!
Thanks, Kensington!!
Digital camera Review: Very good product Summary: 5 Stars
Of all the computer cases I've seen and purchased, this one offers the most effecient use of space. I've had problems with the expanding and retracting handles in the past, but this one has proven incredibly durable. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
