I bought the Kensington model #33917 notebook power adapter when I was on a trip and had left my normal ThinkPad power supply at home. The power supply worked great for 35 days and then just died.
Kensington technical support was great to work with - they sent me a replacement immediately. Unfortunately, that replacement died a couple of months later after only 6 days of usage. Again, their tech support was very courteous and helpful and sent me another one.
If I had been traveling when the 1st and 2nd power supplies died on me, that would have seriously inconvenienced and possibly crippled my ability to do my job - even more so if there wasn't an electronics store around to buy a replacement. At this point, I can't rely on this particular model of power supply so this latest replacement will stay at home for use only in emergencies.
