I bought this from J&R Music world thru Amazon for the amazingly low price of $14.99. I read the online reviews which were mostly pretty poor, but decided for $15 it was worth the risk and that it would be worth the price even if it could support only a printer and maybe a scanner. I ran into some of the same issues as others so I'm glad I bought it, but no way would I buy it for today's price of $58.

I have it hooked up to an older Dell PC running XP and a new Macbook pro. I installed the included software on both machines. Here are the two issues I've seen:

- Can't wake up the PC by touching the mouse or keyboard! Luckily my PC can be awakened from standby by briefly pressing the power button and luckily my PC is within reach. But this seems like it would be a major shortcoming for a lot of folks.

- Sometimes if both the Mac and PC are up, the Kensington box refuses to switch the mouse/keyboard over from PC to Mac. If you press the kensington box, it just blinks and stays on PC. I read the documentation and I didn't see any explanation for what it means when the LED blinks and it refuses to switch over. This initially happened any time the PC was up, but I think once or twice it has switched over. It's flaky at best though. It might work better on a newer PC that was designed with USB-based keyboard and mouse in mind ... mine is vintage 2004!
