Anyone purchasing these switchlinc devices should be aware that they consume 3-5 watt continuously even in the off state. That would be about 35 kwh (kilowatt-hours) per year per switchlinc device. I have had more than a dozen of the switchlinc relay V2 devices installed for the past several years. While they work most of the time, they occasionally get into a "jabber" situation with the data being sent continuously between the devices which renders the whole system inoperative until all the devices are power cycled. This problem occurs after small power line transients (recorded with a power line monitoring instrument) which do not affect other electronic equipment.
