Digital camera reviews of Keyspan by Tripp Lite USA-19HS Hi-Speed USB Serial Adapter, PC, MAC, supports Cisco Break SequenceDigital camera Review: Great device Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great device....easy to use, and very reliable. I also have one of these for my work laptop.
Digital camera Review: Great for Mac interfacing Summary: 5 Stars
I wasted money and many hours trying to use cheaper ($5-$10) USB-to-RS232 serial adapters to interface an Intel Mac Pro to a 15 year old voltmeter. Nothing worked, so I bought the Keyspan, installed the driver (easy, and well documented), connected it, and had the interface working within 5 minutes. No fuss, no muss, no nonsense. I believe the Keyspan operates with somewhat higher voltages required by many older serial devices, but it should work equally well with newer devices. Don't repeat my mistake. Just spend the extra $20 or so, and have your interface work right the first time.
Digital camera Review: Great for PLC work Summary: 5 Stars
Unlike other USB-to-Serial adapters this one works flawlessly with PLCs. I have used it with ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, and GE 90-30 PLCs and it has great speed and never drops a connection (common problems with other adapters). Look no further if, like me, you have a newer computer with no serial port for PLC service.
Digital camera Review: Great for automotive scan tool to work with my laptop. Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this to convert a automotive scan tool from Serial port to USB to work with my new laptop. Has worked perfectly from day 1. This one is a tad more $$ than others out there..but i have a serious computer/electronice nerd friend that recommended this one. And that was good enough for me. Good product. Simple setup.
Digital camera Review: Great item; postal service delivery sucks Summary: 3 Stars
I have used this item before and like it very well. I needed this delivered quickly, which is why I chose Amazon, whose delivery times are amazing. Unfortunately, the seller uses the US Postal Service for delivery. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, now they tell me it will be two days from now; my network is completely down and I am not happy, since my WAPs have to be flashed by serial.
You should use some other service; the post office is unreliable as to delivery times.
