Digital camera Review: Great product - excellent drivers

I'm always suspicious of manufacturer's drivers, but I have to say Keyspan has written some superb drivers for this device - even on the Intel Macs. Seamless, well done install, and operation has been a cinch.
The other feature I really like is that this does NOT have a built-in cable. The cable that's included is a normal USB cable and can be detached so you can substitute any standard USB cable of whatever length you find necessary for the job.
Highly recommended over all the other brands of USB-Serial adapters for quality of drivers, features, and general performance.

Using this on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5 leopard. Works flawlessly to control my SUN boxes. Reliability is 95% (I've had this thing do strange things, but it was probably my fault...) Worked first time after trying two cheap alternatives from Ebay. Am using with a Concept2 Rowing Machine with a PM2+ Performance Monitor.
Would be great if Keyspan had a user entered HCL of tested kit that worked with their adapters.

I bought this product after trying a different USB Serial adaptor that didn't work with my mac.
I've been having a lot of trouble connected my serial touchscreen with my Mac Pro, and this is the only port so far that has worked for me!
Installation isn't quite plug-and-play. You need to install the software driver, then wait for your computer to recognize the adaptor. Try opening system preferences if it's taking a while. Then you also need to configure the device you are connecting to your computer - you need to help it find the serial port it should use. But once it's set up it seems to work great!
It's really great that Keyspan has kept it's drivers up to date. It's been a challenge to find a USB-Serial Adaptor that works with Mac OS X, but this is it!
