Digital camera Review: Allowed use of old Wacom tablet

I have recently decided to start playing around with digital photo editing again (last time was when PS3 and SCSI 3-pass scanners were in vogue) and dusted off my Wacom ArtPad II tablet. I tried various serial to USB adapters that didn't work and stumbled across this in a forum or review someplace and after reading other reviews on Amazon, decided to give it a try. The fact that it is a little more than just a plug in adapter will give you a clue that it is something above the ordinary. Installation for XP and configuration was quick and simple. I thought I was going to have to find an adapter card and free up a PCI slot. And only God knows what I would have done if it asked me to solve an IRQ conflict.Digital camera Review: Another Incompatible Device

Add the following to the list of devices the Keyspan USA-19HS does not work with: Brother PT-PC Labeling system. My Sony Vaio laptop does not have a standard DB-9 serial interface. The Brother labeler needs one. Like many of you in a similar situation, I tried what appeared to be the most popular usb-serial interface adapter. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine why the Keyspan adapter does not work. I used their latest I/O driver and configured the port as com6. This was my only choice. Why wasn't com2, com3, etc., available? Who knows. No user configurable options could make the Brother and the Keyspan talk properly to each other, even thought the Keyspan runs through its diagnostic tests fine. It's very annoying purchasing something this costly, and not having it do the job right. You'd think that something as well-documented as RS-232 serial would be simple as pie. This is one of the oldest computer interfaces in existence. Anyway, now I'm stuck with a useless adapter which seems to have been designed by someone who did not understand what the term handshake means. Pitiful.Digital camera Review: BASIC stamp 2.0

It should be noted that this product is one of the only products that will allow one to program a Parallax BASIC stamp micro-processor from a Mac. So buy it if you have a BASIC stamp and a mac!

This is the very best. Installation was great. With the manual from my software for the plotting cutter that I used and the information from Keyspan, I was up and running in less than 20 minutes. This has made cutting and sending great amounts of information to my cutter so much easier. Great product and a definite plus for my "Hobby."

I bought a navigation software and was using a generic USB to Serial product.After connecting the USB to Serial to my computer it would lock up computer and I would have to reboot. After talking with the manufacturer of the software I found out that the generic USB to Serial uses perifial drivers, he suggested that I buy a Keyspan USB to Serial that doesn't use perifial Drivers. After receiving Keyspan product I connected computer to Software and it neverlocked up computer again. Great Product.
