Digital camera reviews of Kidz Gear Wired Headphones For KidsDigital camera Review: Good fit and sound, but confused about warranty Summary: 5 Stars
I read most reviews before getting these headphones, and someone from the company has been posting that if you have problem you should call the company because they have a lifetime warranty. However, the documentation inside the package says they have a 90-day warranty.
Anyway, in our last 10-day trip my kids loved them, and they fit my 5-year-old perfectly. The cables do look small and fragile, so based on complaints others have mentioned about the cables coming off, I instructed my kids to handle them very carefully (as in, don't pick them up from the cable, don't pull on the cables, etc.), and we didn't have any problems.
Digital camera Review: Good for little ones Summary: 5 Stars
Have proven to be pretty durable. My 2 year old has not broken them yet. Sometimes they bother his ears but I am sure he is just getting used to them. The sound can be a bit off at times but he is only watching cartoons so it is okay.
Would buy again.
Digital camera Review: Good headphone Summary: 5 Stars
Great headphone, this is the second pair I bought. Fit my little 3 year olds head nicely and bought a pair for my 18 month old as well. I like that the volume can be adjusted on the headphones themselves to protect their little ears!
Digital camera Review: Good headset, but broke quickly. Summary: 4 Stars
Okay, I have to give it to the manufacturer for effort. The quality of the sound was good, the size was right, but the durability was not so good. My son broke these in about 3 months when he got excited about something in one of his learning games and jumped up, getting the volume control caught on the edge of the table. The problem is with having the volume control in the middle of the wire. I don't think putting anything on the wire is a good idea with kids, since they don't know to be careful around those delicate areas. They should have put the volume controls on the headset, or right at the plug.
If your child is delicate and careful (yeah right), then these are good to get. However if you have a child that doesn't know how to be careful around electronic wires, like most kids, then think again.
Also, the product claimed to have volume limitations on it to protect hearing, so I tried them on full volume. I almost blew out my eardrums. I'm not sure if I missed something in the instructions, but don't rely on this for protecting your child's hearing. Be a good parent and listen in every once in a while to make sure they don't have it turned up too loud.
Digital camera Review: Google for cheaper 5 Stars
Don't buy the headphones for $129, they are on the kid gear website for 19.99 along with some other sites. Also Kidz Gear makes wireless headphones for DVD players, TVS, etc. It also sells a transmitter if you need, for the wireless headphones. People are taking advantage of amazon itself being out of the product, so the sky rocket the price, thinking you won't look elsewhere. Hope this saves ya :)
