The card reader/writer provides a high-speed transfer rate up to 480 Mbps, making it convenient and quick to exchange data for mobile devices, MP3s, PDAs, and digital cameras. With a micro SD flash media card inserted, it functions just like a USB thumb drive. However, unlike thumb drives that have hard-wired memory, you can easily replace the micro SD card with another. The hot-pluggable design makes plug-and-play easy, and an LED indicator displays power and access status.

Compliant with the standard specification of both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1, Kinamax CR-TFMSD also supports an auto-detecting slot while the card is inserted. The card reader/writer is compatible with Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, with Mac OS 9.2 and 10.1.2.3 or later, and with Linux Kernel 2.4.0 or later.
