Digital camera Review: It's fun while it lasted

I got this drive a couple of years ago.
One time, I actually left it on my pants one time and washed it. It works.
A few months ago, it breaks, I think it bends too much.
I'm going to look for a more durable drive. Another downside for this drive is there's no light to indicate if it's working or not. It just sits there and you are hoping it'll show up.
I don't hate it, it was great - when it was working.

I bought this drive while I deployed to Iraq. I needed something durable and it stood up the sand and the heat without an issue. However, I wondered if it was really washer and dryer safe. After a trip, I returned home and put my clothes in the washer, unknown to me my this flash drive was in a pocket and when I took it out of the dryer (moments ago) I plugged it in and it worked without a hitch. The first shipment disappointed me because it failed to work within a week of arrival. I couldn't format the drive and the problem only worsened to the point where the drive wouldn't show up in my explorer. I exchanged it and have received the new one today.
It comes packaged with a rubber holder in which you insert the drive. It is a light pink and is shaped like the silhouette of a cartoon girl. Two white dots on the front represent buttons and KINGMAX is in white print on the back. Also packaged is a small double ended lanyard with a rubber spring in between. It seems girly to me and so I don't use it.
The SuperStick is small enough to fit in my wallet and I can transfer 120MB of data in roughly 50 seconds. That's about 2.4 megabytes per second. Windows first calculates a large ammount of time at the beginning of the transfer but becomes quickly smaller and more accurate as the transfer progresses.
Tested on a single core processor 1GB RAM, PC with Windows XP SP3.

I am very pleased with the 4GB Kingmax Superstick. Small as promised. I did run it through washer and dryer (not on purpose). It did come out a winner. No damage to the drive or data.
However, the stick itself is not quite sturdy. The plastic case it came with so flimsy so that it tore off after a couple of weeks of hanging on my key chain (It does not stay on stick). Then after a year, the top portion of the drive with the hole, that was attached to the key chain broke. The drive itself is still functional. But cannot be attached to the key chain. It goes into my wallet.
Recommendation to the manufacturer: Make the case attachable to the key chain and closeable with a lid or cover or flap so that it stays on the drive. Reinforce the attachment of the top portion of the drive with the hole.

I own the 2GB and 4 GB versions of this drive, and could not be happier. I wear it (the 4BG) on my dog tag chain (I'm in the Army) and can attest that it is washer and dryer proof. I keep the 2GB one in my wallet.
No problems at all.
If you want a small thumb drive, this is it.
