Digital camera reviews of KingMax 8GB Super Stick =NEW Microsoft Vista Boost Certified= USB Drive. **Washer and Dryer SAFE!Digital camera Review: Never delivered, Never answered Summary: 1 Stars
I had ordered this item a month ago and never received it. Upon complaining to the ChiTek I was asked to contact USPS. USPS asked me to inform the company that if the item is not delivered then the person who is sending the material should complain. Then I asked ChiTek to do their part, which they never did.
I have paid the money and haven't received the item, EVER!
Their customer support sucks.
Digital camera Review: Not as bulletproof as they claim Summary: 3 Stars
I bought the 8GB as a replacement for an old 1GB KingMax of similar dimensions.
Tiny has its advantages and disadvantages. Being small, it's quite easily carried around, even on a keychain, which adds to its appeal. The disadvantage is that it can just as easily go missing, prompting me to get a similar, albeit larger capacity model.
Again, taking extra care to make sure it is secured on my keychain with a keyring from an old donor keychain, the KingMax 8GB Super Stick only provided about a month or so of usefulness until a tiny crack appeared on the casing.
While the unit is still operational, the crack was just at the point where the circuitry is attached to the casing (denoted by the slight gray coloured area on the underside). This appears to compromise the water-resistance of the unit which I don't want to test.
That said, the unit is now relegated to home duties as a quick backup unit.
I have replaced this with a steel-cased "Super Talent Pico-C Rugged 8GB" unit (you have to love the way these guys choose names).

Bought the 8GB and the 2GB at the same time. The 8GB goes to my son who'll be a college freshman in 4 weeks and the 2GB is mine. These are really well designed and perfect for him. He has "misplaced" a couple of flash drives already. This he can keep in his wallet (he hasn't misplaced one of those, yet!). As a computer science major he can use the 8GB capacity for backups and file transports. I use the 2GB for "sneakernet" file transfers in my office. Also, they both work as Vista readyboost drives on our laptops.

This is one great little deivce! When I got it was a lot smaller than I had imagined. Mine came with this little blue man to carry the drive in. To bad the hole was on the top of the head and not the bottom, it would have made it a whole lot easier to take in and out of him...but I just cut another hole and now it's great!
other thoughts: It's fast, but not super fast in transfer speeds. I didn't really care that it takes me 30-40 secs for 700 mbs to transfer instead of 25... all i wanted it for was for its portability and ability to fit into cramped USB slots on the back of machines. Now all I have to do is keep on using it and see if it will stop working like I have see others review. My thoughts are with those people it got shocked from a front USB port (easily happens a lot with USB's on the front of cases cause they arn't grounded.) I have never had that problem cause i touch the copper part of the stick with my finger and with that same finger at the same time I touch the USB port I am going to plug it into and the shock gets me and not the device and kinda "syncs" the two together with the same current. No more shocking and killing the device in that way :)
Digital camera Review: Poor Quality Summary: 1 Stars
I bought a number of Kingmax Supersticks. Many of them (>10%) failed suddenly anywhere from 1 week to 3 months later. If you make it past 3 months, you may have a flash drive that will work for awhile. They company has stopped taking my calls/emails and will not honor their warranty or give a refund. They discontinued their USA offices a few years ago for a reason. I would be very careful buying any product from this company.
