Digital camera Review: Cannot be read/recognized in my computer!

I got the 4Go class 4 card. The card works ok in my camera (Canon G9) but when it comes to read it in my computer reader (ASUS Laptop 2007), it does not even know it is in there, so I cannot do anything about it. I believe it is a problem with (relatively) old laptops, but when you pay a premium card, that price, you can expect that it would work without problems in any computer...
Now I have to use the USB cable of my camera, which I found much less convenient that using directly the card (especially while travelling, does not use the camera battery). So if you are in my case, I don't recommend buying it. I bought it to upgrade from my 2Go Sandisk that works perfectly and resulted in using my previous one as the default one...

I'll admit that i ordered this card due to it being 1/4 of the cost of the other cards. The cost of shipping was more than the card. From Amazon, i ordered an FE4020 Olympus digital camera on Black Monday. The card was for that camera. when i inserted the card, the camera queued to "format the card'. Selected 'yes' for 'No' turned off the camera. It never formatted. After recharging the camera and trying it again, nothing happened. I inserted the memory card from my old Kodak and the camera worked fine. So, i inserted the new card into the Kodak, which displayed message 'card must be formated'. Selected 'Yes' and the same thing happened. The card did not format and would not work in the Kodak either. I emailed the company to request a refund and have not heard back from them. It's been over 3 weeks. I've since bought a card from Best Buy which did not require formatting and worked immediately. Perhaps you will have better luck with this card than i did. I bought a camera for my sister's bday. I thought that Sony products used the same memory cards that every other camera brand used, so I bought this. Historically this is a good product line, so I would recommend it.
