For the price, a very durable high-capacity flash drive. Had it for a month now, no issues with lost data. At 16gb, it is almost enough to replace my external for most uses (borrowing friends' music libraries, copying over disc images, backing up large amounts of data). My purpose in buying this Kingston DataTraveler 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive was for transferring huge files on occasion.
The drive is fine. But the case and cover for the drive is junk. The plastic is so brittle, thin and cheap that it is almost worthless.
For a fairly priced occasional use drive, with reasonable storage size, where sturdiness isn't a factor, this is ok. Not a bad flash drive.

Don't get this if you're looking for a comfortable drive to use or have arthritis in your use-hand or some thumb injury on it: the slider is hard to slide, not super hard, but very hard. It's very annoying. Unfortunately I lost mine before I could put anything on it or see it's true capacity.Digital camera Review: great value

This is the 2nd Kingston thumb drive I have purchased. Both work great. The advantage of this one is that there is no cover to lose. Just slide the plug into the case.
