I have used this drive for about a week and it has performed excellently. I loaded it with backup files from three computers and a suite of portable applications with total size of about 300 MB. Portable [...] runs well but takes a while to open. The drive is not loaded with the U3 system which, to me, is a positive. I also like that it is not a slide out type like the three Sandisk drives I have. (Less likely to be a point of failure.) The only negative I find is that the activity light is very small and dim so it can't be seen even in dim room room lighting. With the large capacity and many portable application on it this is a powerful tiny portable computer that you can run on any computer. I am very happy with the quality and capacity of this product for the money! I bought this specifically to format and install the full version of Mac OS 10.5.6 and boot from the device. I can now boot any of my Intel macs from this USB device and run disk utilities on the internal hard drives.
The black stripe around the edge is textured which lets you get a better grip on the traveler and the cap. The cap stores on the end of the device while the USB end is plugged into your computer. The little lanyard they include is a nice thought but it is worthless.

The technology these days is pretty amazing. We stored A LOT of digital pictures/movies on this just before our hard drive crashed. Hopefully it worked and will last. I loe this drive, it holds so much stuff. I just didn't close it and it corrupted my data. Don't know if I can use it again. Really good buy though.
